Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chicago Bulls
NBA Point Spread Pick: Cavs -5.5 (March 30th 2017)

I think now is the perfect time to jump on Cleveland. The Cavs come in off an ugly 29-point loss at San Antonio, which came after a 12-point loss at home to the Wizards. Cleveland is now just 5-8 in their last 13 and the media is all over them right now. Some saying they have no chance to win the NBA title.
I’m expecting to see a much different Cavs team in this one. Cleveland has had a full 2 days to regroup, have triple-revenge on their minds after losing each of the first 3 meetings to the Bulls and have the incentive of playing in a nationally televised game on TNT.

The perception is the Bulls have more to play for, but Chicago has been even worse of late, going just 4-9 in their last 13 games. Last time out the Bulls won at Milwaukee and are just 8-21 ATS in their last 29 off a road win. Cleveland has played well with rest, going 33-15 ATS the last 2 seasons when playing only their 2nd game in a 5 day span. Take Cleveland!

Florida Panthers vs. Montreal Canadiens NHL Betting Odds & Pick from Jesse Schule: March 30th 2017

Florida Panthers vs. Montreal Canadiens
NHL Betting Pick: Montreal -161 odds (March 30th 2017)

The Florida Panthers have lost 13 of their last 18 overall, and they play on the road in their third game in four nights at Montreal tonight. Florida is banged up, with injuries to starting goaltender Roberto Luongo, top defenseman Aaron Ekblad and backup goaltender James Reimer. It’s not clear who will start between the pipes for the Panthers tonight, but it’s thought that Luongo may be ready to return to action.

The Habs are gearing up for a long playoff run, and they’ve won 11 of their last 14 overall. Carey Price has looked like the best goalie in the world here in March, with a record of 8-2 and a 1.59 GAA. I picked Montreal to win the Stanley Cup at 25-1 odds before the season started, and I am feeling pretty good about that bet heading into the playoffs. I had high expectations for Alexander Radulov, and he’s been a beast all year. The Habs are going to be a tough opponent for anybody at this time of year, and the Panthers are a team that likely doesn’t have a lot of gas left in the tank.

Teddy Covers betting the Toronto Raptors -5.5 over the Charlotte Hornets on March 29th 2017

Charlotte Hornets vs. Toronto Raptors
NBA Betting Pick: Toronto -5.5 points (March 29th 2017)

Let me start with an excerpt from yesterday’s write-up, with the numbers edited slightly to reflect current realities:

“Charlotte was a playoff team last year, finishing with 48 wins and the #6 seed.  The markets still remember and respect that team, in some ways overshadowing the 33-41 squad from this year in the betting world.  The Hornets did their best to blow a 25 point second half lead against a Suns team playing on the second night of back-2-backs in their last game, on the heels of a defensive no-show against the Cavs in their previous contest.  And the betting markets are offering us legitimate value with wiseguy steam showing for Charlotte in early betting action today.”

There’s been steam on Charlotte again today, pushing the line down to -5.5 as I write this.  That Hornets $$ has come despite their no-show at home last night, allowing Milwaukee to control the flow throughout in a double digit home loss.  And make no mistake about it – the Raptors are coming to play tonight!

Toronto head coach Dwane Casey following the Raptors lethargic win over Orlando on Monday: “It was brother-in-law basketball. We’ll take the win, but we can’t be happy with our defensive performance, trading baskets like that. We have bigger goals in mind and, if we intend on achieving them, we have to have a better mindset than we had tonight defensively….that’s our challenge — to have that mindset every game, not just when our backs are against the wall. But it has to be a habit, and (Monday) we took a step back.”  Expect a step forward here!  Take the Raptors.

Fresh off a 2-0 sweep of ‘right side’ winners on Tuesday, Teddy remains RED HOT riding an EPIC 40-17 (70%) College Hoops hot streak and a 61-37 (62%) All Sports Run since mid-February.  Don’t miss Teddy’s 10* Big Ticket NBA Game of the Week, putting his 83% NBA 10* Run on the line tonight!

Denver Nuggets vs. Portland Trailblazers NBA Point Spread Pick from Will Rogers: March 28th 2017

| March 28, 2017

Denver Nuggets vs. Portland Trailblazers
NBA Point Spread Pick: Denver +2 (March 28th 2017)

The set-up: Portland Trail Blazers have gone 11-3 record in March and have pulled into a tie with the Denver Nuggets (both teams are 35-38) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. The Blazers welcome the Nuggets to Portland tonight, with the winner gaining a one game edge and both teams will then have eight games remaining in the regular season.

Denver: The Nuggets are coming off an ‘ugly’ 115-90 home loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday and this visit to Portland will open a five-game road trip (visits to Charlotte, Miami, New Orleans and Houston will follow). Denver head coach Michael Malone was highly agitated after the drubbing by the Pelicans and sharply criticized his club. “It was an awful effort but this is not who we’ve been, which gives me hope that we can turn the page and get back to being who we’ve been lately,” Malone told reporters. “We’ve been a very good team lately, one of the best teams in the NBA. But (Sunday), obviously, for whatever reason, we just did not have that competitive fight, the energy, the sense of urgency that you really need to have right now.” The rest of the Nuggets’ road trip includes stops in

Portland: Guards Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum have fueled the team’s recent 11-3 surge. Lillard did see his streak of eight straight 25-point performances end with 22 points against the Lakers (Portland won 97-81) but he’s averaging 26.8-4.9-5.8 on the season, including 36.3 points against the Nuggets this season. “McCollum is averaging 23.1 PPG on the season, making them the highest-scoring guard duo in the league.

The pick: It would be ironic if Portland earns the No. 8 seed over Denver, as the difference just could be the teams’ trade deadline deal. Jusuf Nurkic was traded to the Blazers from Denver on Feb. 13 for center Mason Plumlee and a first-round draft choice. Since Nurkic joined the Blazers, they are 12-6 and he is averaging 14.0 points and 10.1 rebounds over that stretch! The Nuggets may have gotten the worst of that deal but note that the Blazers are a sub–.500 team at home ATS (16-18), while the Nuggets are 19-15 ATS on the road. I want any points available.
