NCAAB Pick: LSU -1
LSU is 7-7 in the SEC, one game behind Tennessee, so they will be fired up for this one against an SEC rival. LSU is playing well, on a 4-1 SU/ATS run winning twice as a dog. They won’t be in a good mood after their worse loss of the season, 72-48 at Ole Miss. This is the second straight road game for Tennessee, a team that is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The LSU Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. loss. Play LSU. -Jim Feist

NCAAB Pick: Marquette +1.5
Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #531 Take Marquette +1.5 over Cincinnati (7 pm ESPN 2) The Golden Eagles just continue to win basketball games and we will continue to ride them with these low numbers since they may have the best backcourt in the country. Marquette is 13-3 in the Big East and they have lost just one game since January 8th. The Golden Eagles won the first meeting of the season by 17 points scoring 95 points in that affair and home court will not be enough to overcome that wide of a margin. Marquette is 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games as an underdog. Cincinnati is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games. NCAAB Pick: Maryland +17.5
North Carolina needs to win this game to have a chance at winning the ACC title and possible earning a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, as they have a huge game at Duke on Saturday. With that said, I think North Carolina will this game, just not by 18 points. The Tar Heels had their trouble against Maryland on the road, holding on for a 83-74 win. The Terrapins have nothing but pride and a chance to shock one of the best teams in the country. Look for them to come out with their best effort tonight, while the Tar Heels struggle to keep their focus on this game and not look ahead to the big game against the Blue Devils. Duke faltered in a similar role last night, as they failed to cover a large line at Wake Forest, winning 79-71 as a 12.5-point favorite. North Carolina also failed to cover the game against Maryland, which just so happened to be before their earlier game against Duke. BET THE TERRAPINS! -Steve Janus. NBA Pick: Indiana Pacers -5
On Tuesday the Free NBA System play is on The Indiana Pacers. Game 704 at 7;05 eastern. The Pacers fit the Nice system below which has cashed the last 9 times since 1996 and play on home favorites with 4 or more days rest after having scored 100 or more on the road in their last game with no rest and 25 or less assists if the opponent scored 100 or more in their last game. This system is used specifically for occasions like back from the break where teams have been off for Multiple games. The Pacers are 11-4 straight up and to the spread here vs Golden St and already have a nice win over in Golden St earlier this season. Take the Pacers tonight. On The Tuesday card their are 4 Solid Plays led by the Highest Rated Big East Play from a 98% Angle, a 100% NBA Totals system and a 13-1 System side play. In college Hoops we have a totals Play with 11 Powerful angles. Jump on now and Cash out on Tuesday. For the free play take The Pacers. -Rob Vinciletti

NBA Pick: New Orleans Hornets +14
I am taking the Hornets plus the big points. With Kaman back at center for the Hornets they have covered 6 straight in their last 6 games, all of which he has played. I also like going against teams laying a huge number in the NBA right off the All Star break. Yes, Chicago will win, but double digits is huge in the NBA, and NO playing better ball with a low post presence. -Tony George

NCAAB Pick: UConn -3.5
Providence has struggled to shoot many times this season and coming off a win I think they are satisfied despite going into their last home game of the season. They face a UCONN team that’s hungry and can’t have any other slip ups if they want to go to the NCAA Tournament. That means winning their final games and they can’t just squeak by they need an impressive win here tonight. I think they are a bad match up for Providence because they shoot mostly from inside the perimeter with just 26% of their FGA from three point range. UCONN is the #1 2 point defensive team in the Big East and #4 nationally. They nearly beat Syracuse despite a poor shooting game from Jeremy Lamb. I like what Boatright has started to do from the perimeter to give Uconn a #2 outside scoring option. Expect him to continue that which will make the inside game of the Huskies with Drummond that much more dangerous come conference tournament time. -Freddy Wills

NBA Pick: Detroit Pistons +4
Pistons (+) over 76ers- After a horrific start the Pistons have turned things around at home going 8-1-1 ATS and are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Pistons are now 10-7-1 at home for the year while Philadelphia has dropped six straight ATS and their last five games straight-up. After a quick start the loss of center Spencer Hawes has slowed the 76ers down and he’s not expected to return to action for another few weeks. Elton Brand is also doubtful for Tuesday’s contest and that give the Pistons the edge they need at home. Take DETROIT! -Chip Chirimbes

Notre Dame vs. Georgetown College Basketball Pick: February 27th 2012

Notre Dame vs. Georgetown
College Basketball Pick: Georgetown -6.5
CLICK HERE FOR TODAY’S EXPERT PICKS

Riding the momentum of an impressive 21-point win over Villanova and hungry to end a 3-game losing streak to Notre Dame, Expect Georgetown to take care of business at home tonight. The Hoyas will also be fueled by an opportunity to move a step closer to capturing one of the Big East’s double byes in the upcoming conference tournament.

Notre Dame has been extremely reliant on the 3-point shot, and it’s confidence from long range has to be wavering after making just 4 of 31 3-points attempts in Saturday’s loss to St. John’s. The Irish certainly won’t get many open looks from beyond the arc against a Georgetown team that ranks 7th in the country in 3-point defense, holding its opponents to only 28.5% from deep.

The fact the Irish are coming off a loss is significant because they are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following a defeat. They are also 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog of 6.5 points or less. The Hoyas, meanwhile, are 8-0 ATS off a home blowout win by 20 points or more over the last 2 seasons. They have won by an average score of 72.6 to 60.9 in this situation. We’ll lay the points.

NCAAB Pick: Old Dominion -2
In their first meeting this season down in Philadelphia, ODU built a solid 32-25 advantage only to fall short at the end to talented Drexel 62-57. Again it was the tenacious Dragons defense that won the event holding the Monarchs to just 25 points in the second-half. Drexel had a huge Bracket-Busters win over Cleveland State last Saturday, followed by a massacre of James Madison 78-61 at home. Granted Drexel is 12-3 ATS in conference, but ODU has covered the last 5 of 6 ATS, while going 4-1 ATS in the Colonial. Overall, feel this is a huge letdown spot for Drexel, being on the road in a difficult venue. Remember the tourney starts shortly and Drexel has a 15-2 mark and the #1 seed with VCU following up. -Brad Diamond

NCAAB Pick: North Carolina -3.5
On Saturday the free NCAAB TV play is on North Carolina. Game 583 at 4:00 eastern. This game will be televised on Espn. The Tar Heels are the choice to get the win and cover and have some nice number here in this one. Carolina has won 24 of 25 vs teams who average less than 65 per game and are 11- this season with 10 spread wins vs teams over .500. In games after scoring 80 or more they have come back to win 15 of 17. As a road favorite from -3 or less they are 4-0 and 3-1 to the spread and 5-0 straight up and ats when the total is 120 to 129.5. Virginia is a good team this season. However they are in a tough spot here vs North Carolina. The Cavaliers are just 4-14 vs teams who can score and average 77 or more per game and have lost 13 of 19 with road loss revenge. Look for North Carolina to emerge with a win and cover in this one. On Saturday its the release of the 7* Highest rated NCAAB Game Of the Year. This game has an Incredible 5 100% Perfect indicators and a bevy of solid angles. The card also has 2 Afternoon plays the 17-0 Big 12 Play and an 81-6 Power Angle play in the ACC. The evening card has a 25-1 Pac 12 Play and a Triple Perfect Road Warrior play. Jump on this Big card now and cash big all day and night on Saturday. For the free play take North Carolina. -Rob Vinciletti. Get more college basketball picks for February 25th 2012 from Rob at Handicapperspicks.com

NCAAB Pick: Missouri +8
Tigers (+) over Jayhawks- No 3 Missouri has already upset the Jayhawks in their first meeting at home 74-71 as a 3-point favorite. The push raised their point spread record in the last eight meetings to 0-6-2…that’s right the Tigers have failed to ‘cover’ in any of the last eight meetings. After winning seven straight Missouri was up ended by Kansas State their last time out and might have been caught looking ahead to this match-up while the Jayhawks have won five straight since their defeat to the Tigers. In a surprise the Tigers get it done here. Take MISSOURI! -Chip Chirimbes

NCAAB Pick: Pennsylvania -5.5
On Friday the Free Ivy League Play is on Penn. Game 805 at 7:00 eastern. Penn has better overall numbers and has won 6 of 7 vs losing teams and 7 of 9 conference games. They are a solid 13-1 with 12 spread wins in the series and now take on a struggling Dartmouth team that has lost 12 of 13 vs winning teams and 11 of 12 with road loss revenge. In games after allowing 60 or less they have lost 6 of 7. As a home dog of 3.5 to +6 they are 1-5. Finally they are -5 when the total is 119 or less. Look for Penn to win and cover in this one. On Friday its the 100% NHL Eastern Conference Game of the Year with 11 angles and the NCAAB Game of the week with 8 Big angles. On Thursday both top plays in NCAAB and NBA Cash and Lone NHL play with Vancouver also cashes. Jump on now and start the weekend big . For the free play take Penn. -Rob Vinciletti

NCAAB Pick: West Virginia Pk
The West Virginia Mountaineers are in danger of missing the NCAA Tournament. A win tonight over a quality Marquette team would certainly help their cause. I like their chances of winning on their home floor in this one. Motivated from an embarrassing road loss at Notre Dame last time out, the Mountaineers will return home hungry tonight. WVU is 17-11 on the season, including 10-4 where they are outscoring opponents by 8.2 points/game. Head coach Bob Huggins is 17-6 ATS off a road loss as the coach of West Virginia. Huggins is 21-6 ATS off a road loss by 10 points or more in all games he has coached since 1997. Better yet, Huggins is 14-2 ATS after a loss by 15 points or more in all games he has coached since 1997. Needless to say, he’ll have his troops ready to go tonight. Bet West Virginia Friday. -Jack Jones
