At 3:05 pm, our complimentary selection is on the Chicago Blackhawks over the Edmonton Oilers.  With their star goalie, Corey Crawford, suffering from an upper body injury, the Blackhawks will have to go with one of their two back-ups today (and for a while for that matter).  That’s not a good thing for the home team, but it’s definitely something the Blackhawks can overcome.  The Oilers have won just once in their last six games (a 2-1 shootout victory over the Ducks), and have now managed to score just nine goals in their last six games.  If you’re wondering where all-everything player Connor McDavid has been lately, then you’re not alone as the Oilers are probably wondering that same thing.  Over those last six, McDavid has no goals and only four assists, so it goes to show just how much the offense of this team depends on him.

No doubt the Blackhawks know that if they can just stifle McDavid, then there isn’t much else they have to worry about.  And Chicago’s defense has been very good at home, allowing just 2.5 goals per game here.  Edmonton is 4-11 in the last 15 meetings.  Take Chicago.  As always, good luck…Al McMordie.  And don’t miss my red-hot Hockey Winners or my One and Only 10* NFL Game of the Year on this Sunday.  Or, better yet, join for a week or month today to get all of my award-winning plays!!
