Went against the Clippers last night in this space for a very easy win. We follow this team very closely and although this squad has playoff talent there is no heart on this team. Last season they dealt with a lot of injuries and once they were out of playoff contention and they got healthy they still struggled because they basically gave up and that is the look that they have given lately and we expect them to be a solid go against team for the rest of the year. The blame for this lack of winning spirit has to fall on the shoulders of Baron Davis, who is showing that he is not an adequate leader and he really disappointed down the stretch last season and we see the same happening this time around and the rest of the team should follow suit. Their game the other night against Golden State was a great example. The Warriors barely had enough players to suit up for the game yet they cruised to a 30-point win and the game wasn’t even that close. We normally hate to take road favorites but this one is under the key NBA number of 7 and Atlanta comes in well rested while the Clippers are on a back-to-back. Atlanta is the best ATS team in the NBA and they are a .500 ballclub on the road, which is outstanding in the NBA. The Hawks put up a clunker last time out in a blowout home loss to the Heat and we think they get that bad taste out of their mouth with a rout in the City of Angels Wednesday night.
