Free NBA pick for Friday from Doc’s Sports (+85 units on the season and $100 bettors are up more than $5,100 and they have a 5-Unit NBA Game of the Week highlighting a very strong four-pick card) – #817 Take Miami/Memphis OVER 188 ½ (8 p.m. EST, Friday) – This line just struck us as a little low. Memphis is a pretty bad defensive team and they allow 104 PPG and they have given up 100 or more in six straight games. Miami has been playing good defense but they are on the road and looking at their full-season results they have really not played as well defensively on the road as they have at home. This team allows 98 PPG on the road and Memphis averages 102 PPG at home on the season. We think this one is an overreaction to the absence of Dwyane Wade, who is likely to miss the game. However, everyone has been able to score on Memphis recently and we think that Miami will be able to put up some numbers even with their superstar sidelined. In the one meeting this season these teams totaled 208 and although we don’t think that this one will be that high scoring we do think it will wind up in the low 190s.
