The Pelicans come in off a 119-113 win at home over the Blazers, but previous to that had dropped four of six.

The Knicks won’t be lacking for motivation tonight after two straight losses, most recently a 118-108 setback in Minnesota on Friday. And if recent history is any precedence, then New York has to be liking its chances for a bounce back today, because when these teams met in late December, it was the Knicks that scored the 105-103 road victory.

New Orleans averages 110.8 PPG and it concedes 110.9. Anthony Davis leads the way with 26.1 points, 10.3 boards and 2.06 blocks per game, while DeMarcus Cousins is right beside him with 25.8 points, 12.5 boards and 5.1 assists per outing.

New York averages 103.7 PPG and it concedes 104.7. Kristaps Porzingis leads the nightly charge with 23.6 points, 6.8 boards and 2.28 blocks per game. Enes Kanter adds 13.5 boards and 10.1 boards.

I’ll point out that the Pelicans are already a poor 6-9 ATS this year after scoring 115 points or more in their previous outing, while the Knicks have excelled in this position all season by going a spectacular 10-2 ATS following a loss by ten points or more.

I think New York is the “hungrier” team. Consider the Knicks in this one.
