NBA Pick: Charlotte Bobcats +13
As bad as the Bobcats have played in the early portion of the season, there is no reason for the Lakers to be favored by 13-points in this game. This isn’t the same Lakers team from years past. In 21 games they have just three wins by more than 13-points, and two of those came in the first four games of the season. The Bobcats are expected to get two key players back in their rotation tonight, as forward D.J. White and guard Gerald Henderson are both expected to return from injury. Henderson is a huge addition, as he leads the team in scoring at 15 ppg. The Bobcats have succeeded in this role against a couple of pretty good teams already this season. In consecutive games Charlotte was 12.5-point underdogs on the road at Orlando and Chicago. They lost those two games by a combined 13-points, easily covering the spread in each game. Los Angeles is just 14-37 ATS in their last 51 games as a home favorite of 11.0 or greater, while the Bobcats are an impressive 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog of 11.0 or greater. BET CHARLOTTE! -Steve Janus

NCAAB Pick: Kansas State +1.5
On Tuesday the NCAAB Big 12 play is on Kansas St. Game 533 at 9:00 eastern. Kansas St may be in the right spot at the right time here as they catch Iowa St off their biggest win as a 7 point dog right here vs Kansas. That win as the first over a top 50 ranked RPI Team for Iowa St as they are now 1-3. Kansas St is a solid 7-3 on the road and 3-1 straight up the last 3 years as a road dog of 3 or less. They have won 12 of the last 16 off a loss and 9 of the last 12 Tuesday night games. Look for Kansas St to emerge with the win. On Tuesday we have a Trio of solid plays. The 100% NCAAB RPI Power Angle play, a 20-2 NHL Power play side and a 90% NBA Totals system. Jump on and end the month big tonight. For the free play take Kansas St. -Rob Vinciletti

NBA Pick: Atlanta Hawks -5.5
The Atlanta Hawks have won two straight games, four of their last five and eight of their L/10 overall. Atlanta laid a huge 94-72 smackdown on the Hornets two nights ago and I like them to do so to the Raptors tonight despite the fact that Toronto has actually been playing some pretty competent basketball in winning three of their last four games, including their impressive 94-73 win over the Nets the last time out. The Hawks are a nearly perfect 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games as a favorite and an equally impressive 4-1-1 ATS in their last half-dozen games as a road favorite. Atlanta has also compiled a blistering 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings against the Raptors while the Road team in this series is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Last but not least, the Hawks are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Toronto. -Eric Williams

Pick: Charlotte Bobcats +16
It might seem like an easy play to lay the 16-points and roll the 76ers tonight, but my money is on the Bobcats to keep this game closer than expected. I understand that Charlotte is dealing with a bunch of injuries, but anytime you show this much disrespect to a team, favoring the other team by 16 points, it tends to bring out the best in them. The 76ers know they can win this game with their backups, and I have a hard time seeing this team being all that motivated to play their best basketball. Knowing that they have to play another game on Saturday, only adds to them not laying it all on the line tonight. Charlotte has been a double-digit underdog 7 times this season, they are 5-2 ATS in those games! Charlotte is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog of 11.0 or greater and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600! BET THE BOBCATS! -Steve Janus

Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves +1
The Minnesota Timberwolves have finally returned to relevance this season. The Timberwolves are a respectable 8-10 this season, with four losses by four points or less to the likes of the Thunder, Heat, Grizzlies and Hawks, which are four of the best teams in the league. San Antonio has looked pretty unstoppable at home this season, but they are far from it on the road. The Spurs are 2-6 SU & 2-6 ATS in road games this year, getting outscored by an average of 8.3 points/game. They are giving up a ridiculous 104.4 points/game on 50.8 percent shooting away from home. One of San Antonio’s road losses this season came at Minnesota, where the Timberwolves won 106-96 on January 2nd. The Wolves had previously lost 16 straight to the Spurs, though three of their last four losses came by six points or less, so they were close to turning the corner. The Wolves still want revenge from all those years of getting own by the Spurs, so don’t look for them to let up tonight. Their confidence is finally where it needs to be. The Spurs are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 road games overall, including 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games as a road favorite. The Timberwolves are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog, including 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home underdog. Bet Minnesota Friday. -Jack Jones

Pick: Canisius +10
Off 3 straight double-digit losses, Canisius will be ready to leave it all on the floor in front of the home fans tonight. Manhattan is tied atop the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and the Golden Griffins know they better show up if they hope to avoid an embarrassing defeat. Canisius has had little trouble showing up against the Jaspers. It has won 3 straight in the series and has either won or lost by 10 points or less in 10 of the last 12. It is worth noting that the underdog is an impressive 8-3-1 ATS in the last 12 meetings. The Golden Griffins have been too good of an investment on Friday nights to ignore. We’re talking 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 Friday games. Recent history also suggests they’ll be motivated by Sunday’s 24-point loss. Consider that the Golden Griffs are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a loss of more than 20 points. We’ll take the points. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Boston Celtics -2
I like the Boston Celtics to bounce back from one of their worst losses of the season last night. The Celtics are a team that rarely gets beaten in back-to-back games, and they have been surprisingly good on little rest. Boston is 19-5 ATS in road games off an embarrassing road loss scoring less than 80 points since 1996. The Celtics are 33-16 ATS in road games when playing their 5th game in 7 days since 1996. This is a Boston team that is also great to back when looking for revenge. The Celtics are 24-9 ATS in road games revenging a loss vs opponent over the last 3 seasons. Boston is 22-9 ATS in their last 31 games following a S.U. loss. The Hornets are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog of 0.5-4.5. Boston just has so much working in their favor going into this one, and I believe they get the job done tonight. Bet the Celtics Saturday. -Jack Jones

Pick: Bobcats vs. Spurs Under 191
This total has been jacked up way too high tonight in the Charlotte vs. San Antonio NBA showdown. Both teams will be playing the second of a back-to-back, with the Bobcats losing 82-99 at Oklahoma City and the Spurs winning 97-91 at Dallas last night. That means both squads will be a bit tired which certainly favors the ‘under’. 13 straight meetings between Charlotte & San Antonio have seen 189 or less combined points. That’s a perfect 13-0 UNDER angle pertaining to the total set listed tonight. Take the UNDER 191.5 points here. -Black Widow (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Charlotte vs. Houston Over 200
True, the Bobcats are a little “offensively challenged.” However, this number is still very low, for a game involving the Rockets. The Rockets are off a (rare) low-scoring game vs. Phoenix on Monday, earning a 95-93 victory. Their previous five games averaged 217 combined points though, each producing a minimum of 207 combined points. For the season, Houston games are averaging a whopping 210.2 points. Note that the “over” is a profitable 8-3 in Houston’s last 11 games against teams with a losing record. The Bobcats, who are off an “upset” win at Toronto, have seen two of their last three games finish above the total. They’ve seen the “over” go 10-3 the last 13 times that they were off a SU win, when listed as an underdog. Consider the Over.  Be sure to visit our premium sports picks page to purchase Ben Burns expert NBA basketball picks today!

Pick: Dallas Mavericks -3.5
Golden St is 30-37 straight up this year. The Warriors are 3-7 ATS their last 10 games as home underdogs. Golden St is 2-5 ATS their last 7 home games vs. a team with a road win percentage of over 60%. The Warriors are 2-5 ATS their last 7 games as home dogs of 0.5 to 4.5 points. Dallas is 47-20 straight up this year. The Mavericks are 6-2 ATS their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Dallas is 13-5 ATS their last 18 Wednesday games. Dallas is 12-5 ATS when their opponent allows 100 or more points in their last game. The Mavs are 13-5 ATS vs. NBA Pacific teams. PLAY ON DALLAS – Tom Freese (Handicapperspicks.com)

Prediction: Portland Trailblazers +1.5
Dwight Howard will serve his 1-game suspension tonight when the Orlando Magic host the Portland Trail Blazers. NBA rules mandate an automatic one-game suspension when a player accumulates 16 technical fouls in a season. The Blazers are very strong inside with LaMarcus Aldridge, Marcus Camby and Gerald Wallace. Portland will dominate the paint tonight and will have a huge rebounding edge which will lead to a nice road victory for them. Orlando lost at Portland 97-83 on Dec. 9 despite 39 points and 15 rebounds from Howard. The rest of the Magic scored 44 points and shot 17 of 51 (33.3 percent). The Blazers are finally getting healthy with Brandon Roy and Camby recently returning to the line-up. They put together one of their most complete performances of the season with a 93-69 home victory over the Charlotte Bobcats last time out. This will only be Portland’s 2nd game in 5 days so they will be fresh and ready to go. The Trail Blazers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Magic are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. Bet the Blazers Monday. -Jack Jones

Prediction: Sacramento Kings +4.5
On Monday the NBA Free system play is on the Sacramento Kings. Game 514 at 10:00 eastern. The Kings fit a solid home dog system here tonight. What we want to do is play on home dogs of 4.5 or less with 1 or more day of rest with a total of 190 or higher and scored 100 or more as a road dog vs an opponent that scored 110 or more as a home favorite. Home dogs in this system actually win the game outright 14 of 18 times and cover to a 15-3 mark. Houston is just 4-9 off a win of 10 or more points. Look for the Kings to ground the Rockets. On Monday I have the NBA Non Conference Total of the Month with a 100% Totals system that beats the line by 16 points + 98% NBA System side and an NCAAB Conference Tournament Pure Power 20-0 Angle. Jump on and Cash Big tonight. NCABB On a 15-5 run after Cashing Florida St and NBA 17 Games over winning with Milwaukee. On Monday night I will have an additional free play on the weekly sports talk radio show at 8:05 eastern. Listen online at 88.9 wsia.fm. For the free play take the Sacramento Kings. -Rob Vinciletti

Prediction: Utah Jazz +7
While your initial thought might be to load up on the Knicks at home, this is a very tired New York team. Tonight’s game will be their fifth in the last seven days, and that really takes a toll on teams this late in the season. Utah on the other hand will have some fresh legs, as they get ready to play just their third game in the same time span. New York has also failed to win back to back games since they acquired Carmelo Anthony, and just won at Atlanta yesterday. New York is just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5, and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a SU win of more than 10 points. Bet Utah! -Steve Janus

Prediction: Charlotte Bobcats +1.5
The Bobcats are expected to be without Stephen Jackson, but the Clippers are expected to be without Eric Gordon. The loss of Gordon is a serious matter, considering the Clippers are only 4-16 without him. His loss is compounded by the fact that L.A. is playing this one on the road, where it is just 5-25 on the season. Charlotte has lost 4 straight, but all of those defeats came of the road. The Bobcats have been much better on their home floor, where they have won 3 straight and 4 of their last 5. 2 of the victories in this stretch have come against Boston and the L.A. Lakers. The Bobcats’ last defeat was a brutal 93-69 loss at Portland. History tells us it is a great idea to get behind the Bobcats after such a poor offensive performance. In fact, they are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring less than 75 points in their previous game. The Clippers are a disappointing 16-42 ATS in their last 58 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road favorite. Take the points. -Jimmy Boyd (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Charlotte Bobcats +5
Terrible scheduling situation for the Celtics who are off Dallas and Orlando with the Lakers and Heat on deck. Boston played a physical game yesterday with the Magic and now must not only travel but win by a margin. The Celtics are an aging team that is not at it’s best in the second of a back to back situation. The team is short handed on the bench and the key starters played extended minutes yesterday. This is a major revenge game for the Bobcats who lost by 31 points the last time the Celtics entered this building. This is the third and final game of the home stand and Charlotte lost the first two contests outright to Dallas and Miami. We will get a full effort tonight from the host who has more of an urgency for a victory than the tired Celtics. -Bryan Leonard

Pick: Golden State Warriors -4.5
Phoenix is 23-25 straight up this year. The Suns are 5-13 ATS their 18 games at Golden St. Phoenix is 4-10-1 ATS their last 15 games off a straight up loss. The Suns are 4-9-1 ATS their last 14 Conference games. The Suns are 1-4 ATS their last games as road dogs of 0.5 to 4.5 points. Golden St is 22-27 straight up this year. The Warriors are 17-5 ATS their last 22 games vs. NBA Pacific teams. The Warriors are 8-3 ATS their last 11 games as home favorites and they are 9-4 ATS their last 13 games off a straight up win. PLAY ON GOLDEN ST -Tom Freese

Pick: Pittsburgh +1
On Monday the free Play is on the Pittsburgh Panthers. Game 7171 at 7:00 eastern. The Panthers are the better team here and have several angles on their side tonight. They are 33-8 after allowing 60 or less, 27-6 including 8-0 this season vs opponents who allow less than 65 points per game, 15-4 with 1 or less day of rest, 5-1 on the road when the total is 130 to 135, 11-3 ats as a dog and are 3-1 as a road dog of 3 or less. West Virginia is a nice team but they do not have the same numbers as Pittsburgh. Look for a close hard fought road win for the Panthers. On Monday the lead play is a 5 units NBA Western Conference Game of the Month backed with a 100% Power system. NBA is 13 games over .500 this season. For the Free Play take Pittsburgh. -Rob Vinciletti (Handicapperspicks.com)
