NBA Pick: Orlando Magic +7.5
My money is on the Orlando Magic to snap out of their recent funk and give the 76ers everything they can handle tonight. Orlando is simply too strong of a team to continue to play as bad as they have the last few nights. Two straight 20-point losses tends to be a pretty good wake-up call. Orlando matches up well with the 76ers, as they have won seven of the last eight in the series, including each of the last four in Philadelphia. Not to say the 76ers aren’t a good team, but they are extremely overvalued. Philadelphia has played the easiest schedule of any team in the league. If you look at who they have beat, the best team they have beat is Atlanta. The 76ers really don’t have the size to matchup with Howard inside, and there’s a good chance they will be without starting center Spencer Hawes, who has missed the last seven games with a Achilles injury. Orlando is 26-10-1 ATS in their last 37 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog, and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. NBA Pick: Bulls vs. Wizards Over 189.5
Chicago playing back-to-back here on Monday after a tough loss at Miami on Sunday. While the Bulls trailed the entire game at Miami, they did have a shot to tie the game very late but came up short in the loss to the Heat, 97-93. When we think of the Bulls we usually think low scoring, defensive games. However, this year’s club has been putting some big numbers on the board, scoring over 100 points in four of their last six games and eight times on the season. In fact, the Bulls are 10th in the league in scoring with a 97 ppg average. They are also the best rebounding team in the NBA (45.4 rpg) and still play great defense, ranked 2nd (87 ppg allowed). Meanwhile, the Wizards defense will have its hands full here on Monday. Washington has the 25th worst scoring defense (98.3 ppg) so I fully expect the Bulls to break that century mark again on Monday. I’m a bit surprised we get a low total here around 190. So can the Wizards get 90 or more points? In their last eight games the Wizards have scored over 100 points in four contests and under 90 in just two. I like this game OVER on Monday as the Bulls will look to take out some of Sunday’s frustrations on the Wizards. I’m going OVER between the Bulls and Wizards on Monday. -Jim Feist

Pick: Chicago Bulls -10
The Utah Jazz are reeling right now and have no chance of keeping this game close against the surging Chicago Bulls. The Bulls can grab a share of the Eastern Conference lead with a win over the Jazz on Saturday night. Not since Jordan and Pippen led the Bulls to their last title in 1998 has there been this much excitement in Chicago. The Bulls pulled within one-half game of conference-leading Boston after a 94-76 win over Atlanta on Friday, their fourth straight win overall and 10th in a row at home. The Jazz have dropped 10 of their last 13, including a 122-101 loss at Minnesota on Friday. It was the third-most points allowed this season by Utah, which gave up a season-worst 131 against New York on Monday. In the last seven games, the Jazz have allowed 111.3 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 50.4 percent from 3-point range. Chicago has been one of the best home teams in the league all season. The Bulls are 28-4 at home this year, winning by 10.0 points/game. The Jazz are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Utah is 9-25 ATS in their last 34 games overall. The Bulls are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 home games. Take Chicago and lay the points. -Black Widow

Pick: Houston Rockets +2
The Houston Rockets catch the San Antonio Spurs in a tough spot tonight. San Antonio will be playing their 3rd game in 4 days and their second of a back-to-back. The Spurs were able to squeak by Detroit and Sacramento at home, but they won’t be so fortunate tonight. The Houston Rockets come into this game on 3 days’ rest so they are clearly going to be the fresher team. The home team has won four straight in this series and I fully expect the Rockets to defend their home court tonight. The Rockets are playing their best basketball of the season right now. Houston is 7-2 SU & 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall. The odds have been catching up to the Spurs of late as San Antonio is just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Spurs are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference opponents. The Rockets are an offensive juggernaut this season, especially over the past month. Houston has scored 102 or more points in 13 of their last 14 games overall. They should not be an underdog at home considering how well they are playing and with the rest factor hugely in their favor. Bet Houston Saturday. -Jack Jones (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Warriors vs. Celtics Under 204
Taking the under in Golden State road games has been one of the strongest trends in the NBA this season as the numbers are always overinflated. The under is 19-9 in the Warriors last 28 road games and this team just doesn’t perform up to offensive expectations when on the road and we think they struggle again tonight against a Boston team that has one of the best home defenses in the NBA (92 PPG allowed at home). This is the third game in four nights for the Warriors and we just don’t see how they have much success with the fatigue factor and against one of the best defenses in the NBA. We think this is a situation where even if the Celtics get close to 110 that the Warriors will still be so far behind that this one will stay under the posted number. The under is 11-3 in the Warriors last 14 overall and six of the last nine meetings (including three of the last four) have gone under the posted number. -Doc’s Sports

Pick: Indiana Pacers +8.5
While the Mavericks are playing outstanding basketball right now. We believe Dallas will struggle against Indiana without Tyson Chandler in the lineup. Chandler might not seem like a big loss, but it is really going to hurt their defense and rebounding. Not to mention the Pacers beat the Mavs 102-89 earlier this season. Dallas is just 7-20 ATS in home games vs the Eastern Conference over the last 2 seasons. Indiana is 8-1 ATS after allowing 100 points or more 2 straight games this season, and are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. -Info Plays

Pick: Chicago Bulls +2
You have to be impressed with Orlando’s comeback win over the Heat last night, but I believe that huge second half run really took a lot out of the Magic, leaving them with little in tank for their game against the Bulls tonight. Chicago will be more than ready to play, especially Derrick Rose, after their collapse in Atlanta Wednesday night. Orlando is just 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games when their starting 5 players combine for more than 160 minutes of the previous day, while the Bulls are 21-7-1 ATS in their last 29 games following a S.U. loss, and a perfect 7-0-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600! Bet Chicago! -Steve Janus (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Chicago Bulls +1
Off back-to-back losses in which Chicago’s defense let it down, expect the Bulls to tighten the screws and find the win column against the struggling Jazz tonight. Utah was lucky to get a win against lowly Sacramento in its last game, and it is worth noting that the Jazz haven’t won consecutive games since they won 3 straight from Jan. 8-14. It is also worth noting that the Bulls haven’t lost 3 in a row all season. In fact, Chicago is 15-4 ATS off 2 or more consecutive road losses over the last 3 seasons. The Bulls are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games as an underdog of 4.5 points or less and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as an underdog overall. The Jazz are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games overall, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 home games and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. Bet the Bulls. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Los Angeles Clippers +7
The Clippers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Knicks have a big game on deck coming up against the Lakers, a revenge game, and the Knicks are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Western Conference. The Clippers can get in for easy shots against small teams, as Blake Griffin is second in the NBA in dunks (116) and Clippers center DeAndre Jordan stands third at 94. And when these teams meet the underdog is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings. Play the LA Clippers. -Jim Feist

Pick: Central Florida -2
Central Florida is out for revenge tonight at the UCF arena in Orlando as it tests their 11-3 home record against conference foe Memphis (17-6). Keep in mind UCF gets back A.J. Rompza tonight as well. The Knights are hoping his return will help shake them out of the throes of a seven-game losing streak. He is the leader of this team, and will make a world of difference. The last time these 2 teams met wasn’t that long ago (Jan 26th) a 77-61 Memphis win, in Memphis. Since that game Memphis has gone 1-2 (1-2 ATS), and UCF has gone 0-2 (0-2 ATS). Nothing to right home about. But like I said I’m playing on the revenge angle on this one tonight. I like how these two teams matchup, and give UCF the edge in FT%, D, Rebounding, and T/O’s, At home the Knights are averaging 69.2 scoring, and holding teams to 57.2 points scored on defense. Trends I like include, Knights are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite of 0.5-6.5. Tigers are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Tigers are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games. Tigers are 9-23 ATS in their last 32 games following a S.U. win. I believe UCF’s stingy D when playing at home will be the difference here tonight and have no problem giving the 2. (This line’s moving at most books, up to -2.5 now. I’d grab it up to 3) -Ray Monohan

Pick: San Antonio Spurs -7.5
Toronto is 14-38 straight up this year. The Raptors are 4-10 ATS their last 14 home games and they are 15-35-1 ATS their last 51 home games. The Raptors are 17-36-1 ATS their last 54 games when their opponent scores 100 or more points in their last game. San Antonio is 43-8 straight up this year. The Spurs are 35-17 ATS their last 52 games off a straight up win by more than 10 points. The Spurs are 6-1 ATS their last 7 games overall and they are 7-3 ATS when playing with no rest. The Spurs are 11-5-2 ATS their last 18 Eastern Conference games. PLAY ON SAN ANTONIO -Tom Freese (Handicapperspicks.com)
