Pick: Colorado Rockies -128
I really like the Rockies to take down the Giants in the series opener tonight. The Rockies have won three of four and are in great shape to put an end to the Giants four game winning streak. Colorado is 14-9 at home against the Giants over the last three seasons and I believe they have a clear edge on the mound. The Rockies will start Jhoulys Chacin against Ryan Vogelsong. Both starters have pitched effectively this season and against the opposing team. However, this will be Vogelsong’s first start at Colorado. He has clearly been a better home pitcher this season. He has a 2.74 ERA on the season, but a 3.36 ERA on the road. He is also 0-3 with a 3.54 ERA in his last three starts. Chacin is 3-1 with a 2.08 ERA in four career starts against the Giants. Colorado is 7-1 in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a losing road record, 6-1 in their last 7 home games vs. a right-handed starter, and 4-1 in Chacin’s last 5 starts vs. National League West. BET THE ROCKIES -Steve Janus

Pick: Tampa Bay Rays +100
For starters, Adrian Gonzalez is questionable and David Ortiz is doubtful for this game tonight as of this writing. Tampa Bay is 4 games behind Boston and this series is the best way for them to make up ground as they are running out of town. Boston is only 3-10 in all games this September. Tampa Bay has won 5 of their last 7 games overall. Boston has lost 6 of their last 7 games overall. Jeremy Hellickson has been solid all year. Hellickson is 12-10 with a 2.96 ERA overall this year, 6-5 with a 3.62 ERA on the road this season and has a 2.57 ERA his last 3 starts. Kyle Weiland is 0-1 with a 6.76 in games this year, 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA in all starts and has a 13.50 ERA at home this season. Tampa Bay is 4-1 at Boston this year. We’ll recommend a small play on Tampa Bay tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky Atkinson

PIck: Florida Marlins +295
Anibal Sanchez has quietly put together a brilliant stretch, with a 0.86 ERA his last three starts fanning 21 in 21 innings. Sanchez tossed nine scoreless innings and was the winning pitcher Saturday against the Pirates. He allowed just one hit while walking three and striking out 11. Sanchez has not allowed an earned run over his last two starts (15 innings) and has 16 strikeouts over those starts. The win brings his record to 8-7 on the season to accompany a 3.64 ERA, 184 strikeouts and 56 walks. A great spot for the big dog with a red-hot, under the radar starter. Play the Marlins. -Jim Feist (Free MLB Baseball Picks)

Prediction: Dodgers vs. Giants Under 6.5
Both pitchers is solid form. Both bullpens have unreal recent numbers. Last 3 games the Dodgers bullpen has a 1.96 ERA and the Giants a 1.21 ERA in their last 3 games. Vogelsong for the Giants has given up 38 hits in 51 innings of work at home on the YEAR and has just 1.21 ERA there. Unreal numbers. Billingsley for LA has under a 3 ERA on the road this year and he has been stellar in his last 3 outings. Add all this up, and considering the Giants are 24-9-1 on UNDERS intheir last 34 at home, and this is a 2-1 or 3-2 type ballgame tonight. Hits and runs will be at a Premium tonight in this one! -Tony George

Prediction: Washington Nationals -109
Play on Washington at 8:05 ET. It’s never too tough a decision to go against the Astros, who were 7-5 losers yesterday here at home to Pittsburgh. Houston is now 15-35 at home this season and 17-49 vs. righties. They are 8-31 at home when the total is 8 or 8.5. Nationals starter Jason Marquis has been a solid money maker this season with a 12-6 team start record with many of those wins in the underdog role. 10* Play on Washington (w/ Marquis). -Tom Freese

Prediction: Braves vs. Rockies Under 9.5
The Rockies are 0-14 Under after a loss in which they drew five or more walks and it is the first game of a series for a profit of +1400 when playing the under. Atlanta is 21-48 Under (+23.5 Units) after 3 consecutive games versus a division rival the last 2 seasons. Play tonight’s game Under as a TWO-Star Selection. -Robbie Gainous (Handicapperspicks.com)

MLB Baseball Picks for June 28th 2011: Bet The Phillies, Rockies And Reds

Pick: Philadelphia Phillies -122
Phillies starter Cliff Lee is in one of those zones where opposing hitters have no chance against him. He has thrown back-to-back complete game shutouts. Most pitchers would be due for a bad start, but he had nine starts in a row where he threw 8 or more innings in 2010. He does draw a tough challenge in the Red Sox, but Boston has struggled to score runs of late, averaging just 2.8 over their last 5 games. The Red Sox also lose DH David Ortiz playing at Philadelphia. The Phillies are 30-13 at home this season, and want nothing more than to send the Red Sox a message. -Info Plays

Pick: Colorado Rockies -135
The Rockies are an outstanding 52-20 in their last 72 interleague home games, 26-7 in their last 33 interleague home games vs. a team with a losing record and 7-1 in their last 8 interleague games vs. a team with a losing record. The Rockies are also 15-5 in Hammel’s last 20 starts as a home favorite of -110 to -150. The White Sox are 12-26 in Floyd’s last 38 road starts and 4-10 in his last 14 starts as a road underdog of +110 to +150. Take the Rockies. -Dave Price

Pick: Cincinnati Reds +133
Tampa Bay ace David Price hasn’t been as sharp as we are used to seeing lately. He has an ERA of 4.26 and a WHIP of 1.316 over his last 3 starts. That’s likely not good news for the Rays as they go up against one of the best hitting teams in baseball against left-handed pitching. The Reds are batting .295 and scoring 6.2 runs per game against southpaw starters this season. Plus, Cincy is in excellent hands with Johnny Cueto, who has an ERA of 1.63 and a WHIP of 0.972 through 9 starts this season. He’s been nearly flawless lately, going 3-0 with an ERA of 0.43 and a WHIP of 0.810 over his last 3 starts. Lastly, the Reds are 7-0 in their last 7 meetings with the Rays and 4-0 in their last 4 meetings in Tampa Bay. Take the Reds. -Jeff Alexander (Handicapperspicks.com)

MLB Picks for June 19th 2011: Bet The Diamondbacks, Giants And Rockies

MLB Picks: June 19th 2011
CLICK HERE FOR TODAY’S EXPERT MLB PICKS

Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks -123
Look for the D-backs to bounce back from yesterday’s 6-2 defeat. They are 22-10 in their last 32 overall, 8-3 in their last 11 games following a loss and 9-0 in their last 9 in the third game 3 of a series. Humber has been good for the White Sox but Collmenter has been better for the Snakes. His ERA is just 2.06 through 7 starts, 5 of which have been Arizona wins. I like his chances against a Chicago lineup hitting .255 and scoring 4.1 runs/game on the road better than I do Humber’s chances against an Arizona lineup batting .263 and scoring 4.9 runs/game at home. We’ll play the D-backs. -Jeff Alexander

Pick: San Francisco Giants -103
Since getting out of the gate 6-0, Oakland’s Trevor Cahill has fallen apart. The A’s have lost each of his last 7 starts, and he hasn’t looked good at all in his last 3, as evidenced by the 9.64 ERA he’s posted during this span. Matt Cain has been much better for the Giants, who have won 10 of his 14 starts in 2011. He’s 3-0 with an ERA of 2.78 over his last 3. In addition, the Giants are 24-8 in Cain’s last 32 starts and 9-3 in his last 12 road starts. Despite losses in the first 2 games of this series, the Giants have still won 6 of the last 8 against Oakland. We’ll take the reigning champs here with the hotter starter on the hill. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Colorado Rockies +126
Verlander is on the hill for the Tigers, but the Rockies are still showing solid value at home at this price when you consider they have won 4 in a row against Detroit and 9 of their last 10 at home against the Tigers. Colorado is swinging hot bats right now, amassing 11 hits or more in 8 of its last 10 games. Verlander is pitching well but is yet to hurl in flighty Coors. Plus, the Rockies are 44-16 in their last 60 interleague home games, 22-9 in their last 31 interleague games overall and 23-5 in their last 28 interleague home games vs. a right-handed starter. The Rockies are also 35-17 in their last 52 games as a home underdog. Take the Rockies. -Dave Price (Handicapperspicks.com)

MLB Picks for June 17th 2011: Bet The Twins, Pirates And Rockies On Friday

MLB Picks: June 17th 2011
CLICK HERE FOR TODAY’S EXPERT MLB PICKS

Pick: Minnesota Twins -126
The Twins come into Friday’s game on a roll, and should have no trouble taking down a Padres team that is just 1-5 in their last six games. The Twins should have no trouble putting up a big number offensively against Padres starter Clayton Richard, who is 2-3 with a 5.97 ERA in seven road starts this season. Richard did pitch well in his last outing, allowing just two runs on five hits over seven innings, but is just 2-10 after giving up 2 or leas earned runs in his last outing. -Info Plays

Pick: Pittsburgh Pirates +134
We’ll back the Pirates against the struggling Indians tonight. Cleveland has cooled off since its hot start, losing 16 of its last 22 overall and 8 of its last 9 at home. The Indians have even lost 6 straight series openers. Pittsburgh has won 4 in a row and finds itself in good hands with Correia stepping to the mound. He’s 7-1 with an ERA of 2.42 on the road this season. It’s also worth noting that the Pirates are 4-0 in his last 4 starts as an underdog. Meanwhile, Cleveland’s Tomlin has been absolutely shelled of late. He’s given up 18 earned runs in 17 innings spanning 3 starts. The Pirates are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in this series. We’ll take them showing decent value tonight. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Colorado Rockies -120
The Detroit Tigers (38-31) have made a move of sorts on the Cleveland Indians in the AL Central winning 13 of their last 18 overall and the Rockies (33-35) have slipped below .500. Both pitchers are about even in all key stats while Colorado has a major advantage over Detroit as the Rockies have won 7 of 8 meetings played in Colorado. The Rockies who have had huge success at home are only 17-18 at home and will jump-start on that record tonight. COLORADO! -Chip Chirimbes (Handicapperspicks.com)
