Pick: New Jersey Nets +13.5
The Chicago Bulls are expected to get back starting point guard Derrick Rose, but there is a good chance they will be playing without Luol Deng. I don’t think people understand just how important Deng is to the Bulls. Chicago will also be without backup power forward Taj Gibson, who is another very underrated player. The Bulls success comes from their defense. Without Deng and Gibson that defense will take a hit, which is why I will gladly take the 13.5-points. There is no question getting Rose back is a big plus for the Bulls, but I don’t expect him to dominate this game going up against another top point guard in Deron Williams. New Jersey is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games as a road underdog of 11.0 or greater, while the Bulls are just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games as a home favorite of 11.0 or greater. BET THE NETS! -Steve Janus

Pick: Golden State Warriors -1.5
Memphis will be without star forward Zach Randolph tonight. Memphis is scoring only 84.9 points per game on the road this year. Golden State is 3-0 SU and ATS at home vs Memphis the past 3 years. Grizzlies are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games. Grizzlies are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog. Grizzlies are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog. Warriors are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 2 days rest. Home team is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. Favorite is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. We’ll recommend a small play on Golden State tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky Atkinson

Pick: Syracuse -5.5
Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #743 Take Syracuse over Cincinnati (7 p.m., Monday) I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong, and still am, about Syracuse not being a legit top team this season. But the Orange do have to play its first game with a loss after losing to Notre Dame over the weekend. I think Syracuse bounces back in style. Let’s face it – the Big East is down across the board this year. But you still have to be impressed that the ‘Cuse have won all its Big East games by an average of over 15 points per contest. I don’t think Cincy matches up well with the 2-3 zone, nor the depth the Orange can throw at the Bearcats. You add in a team looking to avoid a second straight loss to a lesser league foe, and that makes a good recipe for a comfortable win for the road favorites. Lay the number with Syracuse. -Doc’s Sports

NCAAB Pick: Minnesota +9.5
Indiana appears ready to challenge for a Big Ten title, but I’m not ready to lay this many points with the Hoosiers in Big Ten play, especially against a Minnesota team that will be leaving it all on the floor in hopes of ending a 4-game skid. The Hoosiers were favored by 7.5 points over Michigan in their most recent home game and only won by 2 points. This Minnesota team went on the road and played Michigan to a 5-point game so I have no doubts it can hang around tonight. Indiana is an improved team, but we can’t forget that it is 1-9 ATS in its last 10 Big Ten contests and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games as a home favorite of 7.0-12.5 points. We also can’t forget that the underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in this series. The Golden Gophers have either won or lost by 3 points or less in each of their last 7 meetings with the Hoosiers. We’ll take the points. -Jimmy Boyd

NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors +3
With momentum (following a big win over the Heat) and a day of rest on their side, expect the Warriors to take care of business against an Orlando team that just played a taxing game in Portland last night. The Magic are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games when their starting 5 players combine for more than 160 minutes the previous day and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite of 4.5 points or less. Also, the home team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 in this series. Take the points. -Dave Price

NCAAB Pick: Clemson -8.5
Clemson is 9-6 SU overall this year while Boston College is 5-10 SU overall on the season. Clemson defense has been tough allowing only 57.6 points per game overall this year and 63.2 points per game on the road this season. Clemson is 9-2 ATS overall vs Boston College since 1997. Tigers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Atlantic Coast. Eagles are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win. Eagles are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Eagles are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 home games. Tigers are 8-2-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings. Favorite is 6-2-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings. We’ll recommend a small play on Clemson tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky Atkinson

NCAAB Pick: Virginia Cavaliers +11
Virginia has a chance to make a major statement with a win over Duke tonight. The Cavs have lost 7 in a row to the Blue Devils so they will certainly be lacking no motivation. The Cavaliers are 15-3 ATS in their last 18 road games, 11-0 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600, 9-0 ATS in their last 9 games as a road underdog and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog of 7.0-12.5 points. The Blue Devils are 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 games as a home favorite of 7.0-12.5 points and 2-8-1 in the last 11 home games in this series. Take Virginia. -Jeff Alexander. Pick: Golden State Warriors +11
would take double digits points with almost any team that is playing MEM. Yes the Grizz have been good at home ATS but not often have they had to lay this high of a number. GS has been playing well covering 2 of last 3 including a near win last night at OKC. Usually a back to back is not a team you want to put a play on but this young GS team is pretty good in back to back games ATS going 8-7 on the season. MEM Grizzlies are 1-11 ATS in their last 12 games as a favorite of 11.0 or greater. way too many pts take GS for our Free Sports Pick for today. -Craig Trapp

Pick: Houston Rockets +3
The Sixers lost an OT back breaker to Sacramento on Sunday at the Wachovia Center, then turned around and defeated Chicago Monday both SU & ATS as a double digit UNDERDOG in Chicago. Think the sports-betting public is confused? Back in February Philadelphia defeated Houston 114-105. Now we have sweet REVENGE for the visitors who will find some technical data favoring their chances. The UNDERDOG in the series is a red hot 13-3 ATS, while the road team corresponds with a majestic 13-3 ATS anchor. Further, the Rockets have earned in Philly covering 7 of the last 9. Good Luck. -Brad Diamond

Pick: Dallas Mavericks -5.5
The Clippers are 29-45 straight up this year. Los Angeles is 13-40 ATS their last 53 games vs. NBA Southwest teams. The Clippers are 4-10 ATS their 14 games vs. Western Conference teams. The Clippers are 0-5 ATS their last 5 home games and they are 1-6 ATS their last 7 games overall. Dallas is 52-21 straight up this year. The Mavericks are 11-5 ATS their last 16 road games. Dallas is 16-5 ATS vs. NBA Pacific teams. The Mavericks are 28-8-1 ATS their last 30 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Dallas is 5-0 ATS their last 5 meetings with the Clippers. PLAY ON DALLAS -Tom Freese

Pick: Sacramento Kings +12
Denver keeps winning so oddsmakers keep pushing the numbers up on this young team. They face a young, hungry Sacramento Kings team that is undervalued, with the Kings 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. They are also 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Sacramento is on a 3-0 SU/ATS run despite being an underdog in every game! And the Kings are 3-1-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings with Denver. Play the Kings. -Jim Fiest (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Warriors vs. Spurs Under 210
On Monday the Free NBA Totals system play is on the under in the Golden State at San Antonio Sours game. Rotation numbers 611/612 at 8:30 eastern. This game fits a 90% system that dates to 1995 and is illustrated below for your viewing pleasure. What we want to do in this game is play the under for rested home favorites that scored 100 or more in their last game if they were favored by 10 or more points and are now taking on an opponent that scored 80 or less as a road dog of 5 or more in their last game. If the posted total is 190 or higher these games have gone under the total 9 of 10 times with 2 games landing on the number for a push. The Warriors have to take on the Spurs one night after getting pasted by the Dallas Mavericks. We note that the Warriors are have gone under in 10 of 13 games off 3 or more losses, 5 of 7 times as a road dog from +9.5 to +12 and 10 of 14 times in the second of back to back nights. The Spurs have played under in 6 of 7 games this season when the posted total is 210 or higher. Look for this one to play under the total here tonight. On Monday I have a Rare NBA Totals system that beats the Line by over 20 points. I also have the highest rated NIT Play going tonight from a scintillating 100% Power Angle. Unit rated College Tournament plays are cashing over 80% the last week. Jump on and start the week big. Tonight sports talk radio show segment on 88.9 wsia.fm will be moved to 8:30 eastern and I will have a free play in one of the upcoming sweet 16 Tournament games later this week. For the free play take the under in the Golden State at San Antonio game. -Rob Vinciletti

Pick: New York Knicks +2
Boston has dropped 3 of its last 4 on the road, and it will have its work cut out for itself against a Knicks team motivated by back-to-back defeats. With each of the last 3, and 5 of the last 6, meetings being decided by 4 points or less, I won’t hesitate to grab the points here. In addition, plays on home teams when the line is +3 to -3 off 2 or more consecutive road losses, a marginal winning team (51% to 60%) playing a winning team, are 56-26 ATS since 1996. Teams fitting into this situation have won by an average of 4.1 points. Also, New York has been exceptional in the underdog role. The Knicks are 24-8-2 ATS in their last 34 games as an underdog and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games as an underdog of 4.5 or fewer points. Since the Knicks just played Sunday, it is also worth noting that they are 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 games when playing without a day of rest. It must also be mentioned that Boston is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games as a road favorite. The home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The Celtics are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings and 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in New York. Take the Knicks. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Memphis Grizzlies -8
The Grizzlies have dominated their last two home games against bad teams, beating the Clippers by 23 and the Pacer by 21. The Jazz have looked ugly in a number of road games of late, and we look for them to come out flat against the Grizzles, as they had to play a tough high-scoring game against the Rockets yesterday. Memphis plays like an elite team on their home court. They are 24-10 SU and 21-12 ATS, including a 7-2 run over their last nine games at home as a favorite. Utah is just 7-20 ATS in their last 27 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game, and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 0 days rest. -Info Plays (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Detroit Pistons +7
The boys from the Motor City travel south for a meeting against the Hawks of ATL. The Pistons have struggled on the road straight up this season but they have done all right covering the number on the road as an underdog going 19-15 ATS. They are a much better road underdog than the Hawks are a home favorite; Atlanta is just 9-20 ATS when favored at home. These teams have gone in opposite directions in the scoring department over their last five games. Detroit is averaging 101 points per game their last five games (103.4 points per game L11 games) while Atlanta has seen their scoring production fall to 89.3 points per game over their last five contests. The Hawks scoring issues are even more pervasive as we see they are only averaging 88.3 points per game over their last fifteen contests, they will certainly need more production on the offensive end today to cover such a large number. A quick check of the database reveals several strong tech sets that support our play on the Pistons here are just a few. Atlanta is 11-22 ATS coming off a home game this season. The Hawks have also struggled when coming off a home loss, as they are 0-8 ATS in home games off a home loss this season and 5-21 ATS off a home blowout loss of 20 points or more since 1996. These particular Birds have not done a good job of rebounding from a home loss even if it was an embarrassing blowout loss, as our tech set would indicate. One final note Detroit has recently had the upper hand in this series going 5-2 against the number the last seven meetings. Take the points here as the Detroit Pistons give the Atlanta Hawks all they can stand on Sunday afternoon in ATL. -Robbie Gainous

Pick: Golden State +9.5
At 7:30 pm, our complimentary selection is on the Golden State Warriors plus the points over Dallas. Over the previous eight days, the Mavericks had two huge games — both at home — vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, and the San Antonio Spurs. And they lost both, 96-91 to L.A., and 97-91 to the Spurs. Neither game was as close as the final scores indicate, as Los Angeles held Dallas at arm’s length for much of the last three quarters, and the Spurs were up by double digits for much of their game. Dallas now has virtually no chance of catching Los Angeles for the No. 2 seed out west, and is actually much more likely to fall to No. 4 behind Oklahoma City, which has won six straight games. The Mavs have failed to cover seven of nine overall, and can’t be trusted to lay this many points to a Warriors squad that plays hard every game. Take Golden State. Good luck, as always…Al McMordie.
