Pick: Sacramento vs. Boston Under 197
The Kings have been playing in a lot of high scoring games lately and for that reason this totals line has been inflated a bit higher than it should be. Their last three games were against Washington, Toronto and Denver, however, and tonight they face one of the best defensive squads in the NBA. The Kings are not only coming in on a back-to-back, but they played a major high-scoring game last night that went to overtime in Washington. This will be their third game in four nights. We just don’t see how they are going to have any offensive success tonight against this Boston D. This is a team that isn’t a great scoring squad and Boston allows only 93 PPG on defense at home. The under is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings in Boston and 8-3 in Sacramento’s last 11 road games. -Doc’s Sports

Pick: Phoenix Suns -5.5
After getting brutally embarrassed last night, expect the Suns to bounce back strong against a team they have owned. Dating back to 1996, the Suns are 12-1 SU and 10-2-1 ATS when playing at home against the Nets, winning those games by an average score of 103 to 90. The Nets are just 3-17 on the road this season, where they are losing by 8.5 ppg. They have lost their last 5 away from home by an average of 15.8 points. It is also worth noting that the Nets are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as a road underdog of 5.0-10.5 points. While Phoenix has not been playing good basketball since early December, it has responded well to embarrassing defeats. Following a 15-point loss to Dallas (12/17), the Suns bounced back to beat Oklahoma City in their next game. Following a 123-110 loss to Philly (12/29), Phoenix responded with a 92-75 win over Detroit in its next game. After a 121-96 loss to the Knicks (1/7), the Suns took care of Cleveland 108-100 in their next game. Expect Phoenix to respond once again here. Lay the points. -Jimmy Boyd
