Pick: Timberwolves vs. Mavericks Over 184
The Dallas Mavericks are more of an up-tempo team now without Dirk Nowitzki on the floor. I look for this game to be fast-paced tonight between the Mavs and Minnesota Timberwolves in Dallas. The Timberwolves hvae been a solid offensive team this year, scoring 95.0 points/game. They are allowing 94.6 points/game, combining with their opponents for 189.6 points/game on average. As you can see, that number is over five points more than the posted total tonight, providing us with some nice line value here. Dallas will look to run more now that they don’t have to run their offense through Dirk, which forces them to play at a slower tempo when he’s on the floor. Dallas and Minnesota have combined to score 186 or more points in six of their last seven meetings. I fully expect this one to finish with 186-plus tonight as well. Pick: Seton Hall -7
Notre Dame upset Syracuse at home Saturday, but it hasn’t been the same team on the road. In fact, it is 1-7 SU and ATS when playing away from home this season, losing those games by an average of 11.5 points. After back-to-back road games, Seton Hall will be happy to be home, where it is 10-0 SU and 6-1 ATS this season with an average winning margin of 14.5 points. The Pirates are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite of 7.0-12.5 points. We’ll take Seton Hall. -Jeff Alexander

Pick: Oklahoma State +9.5
Oklahoma State will be fired up for 2nd ranked Missouri, who finds itself in a letdown spot following Saturday’s big upset win at Baylor. I won’t hesitate to side with the home team here as the Tigers are 18-39 ATS in their last 57 road games, and the Cowboys are 34-16-2 ATS in their last 52 home games. Plus, the underdog is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings in this series. Take the points. -Dave Price

Pick: Southern Illinois -2.5
Motivated by a blowout loss at Creighton last game, and further fueled by a 5-game losing streak to Drake, expect Southern Illinois to take care of business at home this evening. Drake hasn’t been the same team away from home where it is just 2-6 SU and ATS this season. In fact, the Bulldogs, who are coming off a 17-point win over Illinois State, are 0-7 ATS in road games following a win by 10 points or more over the last 2 seasons. Amazingly, Drake has lost by an average score of 85.4 to 56.6 in this situation. Southern Illinois has quietly won 3 of its last 4 at home with the lone loss during this stretch coming to a Wichita State, which is currently tied with Creighton atop the conference. It is worth noting that SIU covered the spread in each of those 4 home games. They’ve covered the number in 8 of their last 12 overall, and I like them to get come through again this evening. Minnesota isn’t exactly a team I would normally lay 8.5-points on, but with the Pistons coming to town I can’t pass up, especially with Detroit playing the second of back-to-back road games. Detroit has won just one road game all season, and that came against a bad Charlotte team. In their six losses they Pistons have lost every game by at least 9 points. While Minnesota is just 3-5 at home, two of those wins came against the Mavericks and Spurs. Not only are the Pistons playing the second game of a back-to-back set on the road, but this is their fourth road and fifth game overall in the last week. Detroit comes in off two straight losses, and are a miserable 3-12 ATS in road games after 2 or more consecutive losses over the last 2 seasons. Not to mention the Pistons are just 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games as a road underdog of 5.0-10.5. Minnesota comes in of a 13-point win and cover against the Kings at home. The Timberwolves are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS win, and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. The Heat just needed to see the Lakers to break five-game schneid and go on run. Actually played well against the Thunder but just couldn’t hit a shot as a team. The Hawks are what they are and this year they’re 12-21 ATS at the Phillip’s Center and 5-10 ATS in L15 vs winning records. The Heat dominate the non-marquee teams and are 8-1 L9 as a road fave of 3-6 points. Expecting sharp effort here as Heat will want to keep B2B losses to a minimum from here on out. Take the Heatles. This is the third game between the two with Minnesota taking the first one at home and the Clippers winning big here the last time these two hooked up. Pick: Raptors vs. Spurs Under 205.5
The Spurs have gotten back to their defensive ways and they have held six straight opponents under the century mark. Four of those opponents were held to 91 or fewer points and we think they can do a nice job against this Toronto team that has struggled to score points lately. The Raptors have averaged only 91 PPG in their last three contests and this team has really been struggling with injuries lately and that has been a major reason that they have lacked offensive cohesiveness. They have the same problem tonight as they have a long injury list and they should be shorthanded tonight We just think this total was posted a few points too high and if the Spurs go up big in this one they could slow the game down in the fourth quarter to protect the lead. -Doc’s Sports

Pick: Xavier -4.5
The Musketeers are on fire and I do not see St. Bonny even hanging tight here, even at home. When the Musketeers lose it is to good teams and they are simply blowing out weak oppoenents and I see no way that St Bonny can trade punches on offense in this one boys, a short and sweet writeup, but Xavier is going to shoot them out of the gym tonight, a short number for a better team who is explosive against a team who has recently struggled to score points. This line has jumped a full point for a reason, lay it. -Tony George

Love playing against newly #1 ranked teams as they usually have big letdown. Last year this angle won ATS in 5 of 6 times we did it. Iowa also has covered last three game against OSU.
