NBA Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers +7
The Minnesota Timberwolves are simply getting too much respect from oddsmakers with this line Friday. While they have made some improvements this offseason, it’s not really showing up in the win column. It’s going to take a lot more time for Minnesota to gel as a team with all of the new additions they have. The Timberwolves have opened 2-4 this season despite playing five of their first six games at home. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 3-3 despite having little expectations coming into the year. I like what I’ve seen from the Cavs considering their three wins all came in blowout fashion by double digits. Two of their three losses have been by single-digits. Minnesota is banged up right now with key players like Jose Barea and Brad Miller out with hamstring and knee injuries, respectively. Also, Anthony Tolliver and Nokola Pekovic are each questionable to play tonight. The Timberwolves are definitely thin right now, while the Cavaliers are near full strength. The Timberwolves are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 verus dominant rebounding teams – averaging 53 or more rebounds/game. The Cavaliers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. Cleveland is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog of 5.0-10.5. The Cavs are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest. Minnesota is 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games as a home favorite of 5.0-10.5. Bet Cleveland Friday. -Jack Jones
NBA Pick: Knicks vs. Wizards Under 200.5
The Wizards are 0-6 mostly because they have struggled to score the basketball. They rank 29th in the league with just 85.2 ppg and have played to the Under in 5 of their first 6 as a result. It is also worth noting that Washington is 16-2 Under in its last 18 games following 4 or more consecutive losses. We have only seen an average of 191.4 total points scored in this situation. Also, the Under is 46-21-1 in the Wizards’ last 68 home games. Bet the Under. -Jeff Alexander
NBA Pick: Indiana Pacers +6
Good teams with a large public following are overvalued often, especially following an impressive win. Boston has won 4 in a row and is coming off a 19-point win last game. Consider that the Celtics are just 3-14 ATS in their last 17 games following a blowout win of 15 points or more. They have actually lost these contests by an average of 1.7 points. Going back further, we find the Celtics are 18-45-1 ATS in their last 64 games following a win of more than 10 points. Indiana, meanwhile, which will be hungry after laying an egg against Miami, is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games following a loss of more than 10 points. We’ll take the Pacers. -Jimmy Boyd. Pick: Warriors vs. Spurs Under 210
On Monday the Free NBA Totals system play is on the under in the Golden State at San Antonio Sours game. Rotation numbers 611/612 at 8:30 eastern. This game fits a 90% system that dates to 1995 and is illustrated below for your viewing pleasure. What we want to do in this game is play the under for rested home favorites that scored 100 or more in their last game if they were favored by 10 or more points and are now taking on an opponent that scored 80 or less as a road dog of 5 or more in their last game. If the posted total is 190 or higher these games have gone under the total 9 of 10 times with 2 games landing on the number for a push. The Warriors have to take on the Spurs one night after getting pasted by the Dallas Mavericks. We note that the Warriors are have gone under in 10 of 13 games off 3 or more losses, 5 of 7 times as a road dog from +9.5 to +12 and 10 of 14 times in the second of back to back nights. The Spurs have played under in 6 of 7 games this season when the posted total is 210 or higher. Look for this one to play under the total here tonight. On Monday I have a Rare NBA Totals system that beats the Line by over 20 points. I also have the highest rated NIT Play going tonight from a scintillating 100% Power Angle. Unit rated College Tournament plays are cashing over 80% the last week. Jump on and start the week big. Tonight sports talk radio show segment on 88.9 wsia.fm will be moved to 8:30 eastern and I will have a free play in one of the upcoming sweet 16 Tournament games later this week. For the free play take the under in the Golden State at San Antonio game. -Rob Vinciletti
Pick: New York Knicks +2
Boston has dropped 3 of its last 4 on the road, and it will have its work cut out for itself against a Knicks team motivated by back-to-back defeats. With each of the last 3, and 5 of the last 6, meetings being decided by 4 points or less, I won’t hesitate to grab the points here. In addition, plays on home teams when the line is +3 to -3 off 2 or more consecutive road losses, a marginal winning team (51% to 60%) playing a winning team, are 56-26 ATS since 1996. Teams fitting into this situation have won by an average of 4.1 points. Also, New York has been exceptional in the underdog role. The Knicks are 24-8-2 ATS in their last 34 games as an underdog and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games as an underdog of 4.5 or fewer points. Since the Knicks just played Sunday, it is also worth noting that they are 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 games when playing without a day of rest. It must also be mentioned that Boston is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games as a road favorite. The home team is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings. The Celtics are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings and 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in New York. Take the Knicks. -Jimmy Boyd
Pick: Memphis Grizzlies -8
The Grizzlies have dominated their last two home games against bad teams, beating the Clippers by 23 and the Pacer by 21. The Jazz have looked ugly in a number of road games of late, and we look for them to come out flat against the Grizzles, as they had to play a tough high-scoring game against the Rockets yesterday. Memphis plays like an elite team on their home court. They are 24-10 SU and 21-12 ATS, including a 7-2 run over their last nine games at home as a favorite. Utah is just 7-20 ATS in their last 27 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game, and are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games playing on 0 days rest. -Info Plays (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Pacers vs. Knicks over 218
On Sunday the free NBA Totals system Play is on The Over in the Indiana Pacers at New Yorl Knicks game. Rotation numbers 877/878 at 6:05 eastern. This game fits the solid system below that has cashed 10 of 11 times since 1995. The Line looks a little high for the late phones but for a free play will take a shot. The Pacers have gone over in 6 of their last 9 vs winning teams and the Knicks have gone over 7 of the last 9 vs losing teams. For the system we want to play the over for road dogs of 5 or more like Indy that was on the road with a spread of +3 to -3 and scored 90 or more on 455 or less shooting vs an opponent that scored 100 or more as a road dog and the posted total is 190 or higher. This system has cashed 10 of 11 times since 1995. Go over the total is what should be an entertaining game. On Sunday I have the NBA Western Conference NBA Game of the Month from a 98% system and a 100% Championship system winner from a system that cashed on Saturday. I also have opinions on the remaining championship games as well. Take the Pacers and Knicks to go over the total. See system below. -Rob Vinciletti
Pick: Boston Celtics -9
Motivated by back-to-back defeats, and with a full day of rest on their side, expect the Celtics to bounce back strong against the Bucks Sunday. The Bucks have played the Celtics close in a pair of losses this season, but Boston wasn’t heavily motivated in either of those games. Plus, Milwaukee faces the tough task of taking on the Celtics without a day of rest. Boston is a proven bounce back team from a SU and ATS perspective. In fact, it is 20-9 ATS in its last 29 games following a SU loss. In addition, Boston is 18-7 ATS in its last 25 games following consecutive losses by 6 points or less. It is also worth noting that the C’s are 11-2 ATS after failing to cover the number in 2 or more consecutive games this season. They are winning by an average score of 100.8 to 88.5 in this situation. The Bucks are just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as a road underdog of 5.0-10.5 points, and I expect them to fall again in this role Sunday. (Handicapperspicks.com)

Prediction: New York Knicks -6.5
Doc’s COMP Pick: Wednesday February 23nd 2011-Take #712 New York -7 over Milwaukee (7:35pm est): Perfect spot for the New York Knicks to debut their new look team tonight. They are well rested and get a Milwaukee Bucks team that is coming off a ugly win last night. New York has been looking for a spark and that should come tonight with Carmelo Anthony joining the team. The Knicks come in having covered five straight against the Eastern Conference. They have had no problems beating up the lesser teams all season as they are currently 12-4 ATS when facing a team with a win pct. below .400 on the year. New York has been inconsistent all season but have somehow managed to cover 66% of their last 44 games overall, which comes as surprise to most and proves the Knicks are an underrated team. Milwaukee has struggled to get anything going this season having only covered three of their last ten games following a win. They are just 2-5 against the number when facing a team with a winning home record. Head coach Scott Skiles has always got his Bucks teams to fight in the past but that hasn’t been the case as much of late as Milwaukee has lost ten of their last eleven games by six points or more and in those eleven games the Bucks have lost by an average of nine points per defeat. Lastly keep in mind the Knicks were badly embarrassed back at the beginning of the year against the Bucks, losing by 27 points in their only contest between the two teams so far this season. If there were ever a game the Knicks want to pour it on it will be this one, not so much because of the earlier season loss (though that fact doesn’t hurt) but more or less to make a statement to the rest of the NBA tonight. Play New York to win and cover this one.

Prediction: Atlanta Hawks +3
The high hopes of the Phoenix Suns have been dashed by their tenth position in the West heading into the break. The Suns have dropped four of their last five contests against the number when playing at US Airways Arena. These two met back in November and the Suns handed the Hawks their first loss of the season shooting 57 percent from the field in Atlanta. Hawks guard Joe Johnson scorched them for thirty-four in the loss and teammate center Al Horford dropped thirty on the Suns defense that day. Atlanta had matchup issues in that game that they do not have tonight and this should be a much different outcome as we expect the Hawks to give the Suns all they can handle and shock them in the desert with a road victory. Atlanta coming off an ATS loss as an underdog in their last two games has bounced back with a record of 17-7 ATS with games in this price range. If they are an underdog, their record improves to 11-3 ATS and if they are on the non-conference road, they are a perfect 6-0 against the number. The Phoenix Suns coming off two home games and now a home favorite in this price range are just 4-13-1 ATS. If they went over as a home underdog in their last game and now a favorite they are a miserable 0-6-1 ATS in that situation. A check of our systems database revealed three powerful league-wide winners that are active for tonight’s game. Play AGAINST NBA home teams after losing and going over as a home underdog in their last game, these teams are 92-136-8 ATS. If they are installed as a home favorite in this situation, they are 37-70-2 ATS. If they lost as a home underdog in their last game and now installed as a home favorite in this price range they are only 26-47-1 ATS. Take the points with the Hawks as they shock the Suns and get a road victory on Wednesday night in the desert. -Robbie Gainous (Handicapperspicks.com)
