On Thursday the Free ALDS MLB Power System side is on the New York Yankees. Game 986 at 8:35 eastern. The Yankees fit a rare system that plays on all home teams off a road favored win in a game where the total was 10 or higher, vs an opponent that is off a home dog loss. This system has not lost the last 8+ years. The Yankees average 5.8 runs per game here at the stadium and have I. Nova on the mound here tonight. Nova is 16-3 this season and his ERA is slightly over 2 in his last 4 starts. On Saturday he out pitched Detroit Starter D. Fister, surrendering just 2 runs and 4 hits in 6+ innings of work. Fister who has been outstanding all season keeping hitters off balance with an araay of off speed pitches and a Fast ball with deceptive velocity, struggled here on Saturday night allowing 6 runs and 7 hits in just over 4 innings. In a prior start here Fister was solid going 7 innings allowing just 3 runs. He will have to duplicate that performance to keep the Tigers in the game here tonight. The Yankees have won 9 of the 12 previous meeting here at the Stadium and have a solid edge in what is a rested bullpen. In fact the Yankees 2.93 home bullpen era is a full run better than The Tigers road bullpen era at 3.93. The Yankees have better hitting, particularly at the bottom of the lineup. The Yankees have more big game experience and it appears that Alex Rodriguez may be coming out of his slump as he had a big sacrifice fly and 2 subsequent hits in the 10-1 Blowout win in game four. The Yankees arrive here with the momentum and are the better team with more of the intangibles in their favor. Look for the Yankees to get the win and Move on to the AL Championship series with Texas. On Thursday I have a Triple Perfect College Football Game of the Week. Our team has Solid Cutting Edge Angles that will get you the cash tonight. College football is 25 games over .500 since last season. Jump on and Cash out On Thursday. For the Free play take the New York Yankees. -Rob Vinciletti (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Philadelphia Phillies -104
The Phillies 4-2 win over Atlanta on Monday showed me that this team isn’t going to just roll over the final three games of the season and let the Braves walk into the playoffs. I actually think Philadelphia would prefer that the Braves don’t make it. They figure to have a great shot at winning game 2 of the series with Roy Oswalt on the mound against Derek Lowe. Oswalt has dominated the Braves since joining the Phillies, he is 1-0 with a 1.71 ERA in four starts with three of those starts resulting in Phillies wins. Lowe has not had much success of late against Philadelphia, allowing 9 ER on 18 hits over 11 innings in his last two starts. Lowe is also 0-3 with a 7.98 ERA and 1.978 WHIP in his last three starts. Philadelphia is 10-2 in their last 12 road games vs. a team with a winning record and 12-4 in their last 16 games following a win. BET THE PHILLIES! -Steve Janus

Pick: Florida Marlins -152
I like the Marlins with Vazquez on the mound tonight. The Marlins have won each of his last 6 starts, during which he has only allowed a total of 4 earned runs in 43 innings. He has been nearly unhittable recently, not allowing a run in his last 3 starts spanning 22 innings. He’s also won his last 2 starts against the Nats, giving up only 1 run in 16 innings of work. Lannan hasn’t been as good for Washington, and the Nationals are 2-6 in his last 8 starts as a result. They are 1-4 in his last 5 starts vs. the Marlins. The Nationals are 20-51 in the last 71 meetings in this series and 17-35 in the last 52 meetings in Florida. We’ll take the Marlins. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Yankees vs. Rays Under 8.5
The Rays are now tied with the BoSox for the wildcard and for Tampa Bay’s part, this is a playoff series. Hellickson is 3-2 with a 2.03 ERA in his L7 starts for the homies. Bartolo Colon was lit by the Ray at the Stadium just five days ago but has good numbers at the Trop and July 19th lost this same matchup with Hellickson 3-2. The Yankees are resting their regualrs and the series is 6-2 to the under in L8. Further, Ray home games are 49-25 Low. Runs will be tough to come in this playoff atmosphere. Play the Under. -Dennis Macklin (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: New York Yankees -150
On Monday the free MLB System Play is on the New York Yankees. Game 915 at 8:10 eastern. The Yankees apply to a nice system I use for road favorites off a home favored win, vs an opponent off a road loss with a total that was 8 or less. These road favorites cash over 80% of the time. The Yankees have the benefit of an extra day of rest as their home game against Tampa was rained out. New Yors is averaging 5 runs per game at night and 5 runs per game over the past week. The Royals have struggled at the plate of late and are averaging just 2.9 runs the past week. They have Paulino making the start. However they have lost 7 his last 8 starts. The Yankees counter with A.J. Burnett who is on the midst of another mediocre season. However,, if there is one thing he does well, its pitching vs the Royals. In his last 3 starts against them he has compiled 20 innings and has allowed just 2 runs. Look for Burnett to hold the Royals at bay, while the Yankees put up a few runs on a struggling Kansas City team. Take the Yankees tonight. For those looking for that special game I have the 7* MLB Game of the Year going tonight. This game is from a 100% system and 3 perfect Angles. Our team has a solid pitching edge as well. I also have a 21-1- Power Angle play in the NFL Game and a totals system in MLB that averages 13.4 runs per game. Don’t miss any of these big plays. Start the week with a bang. For the free play take the New York Yankees. -Rob Vinciletti

Pick: Florida Marlins +137
Florida comes in with a 56-64 overall record this year while Colorado is 56-66 overall on the season. Florida has been solid on the road with a 32-25 record this season. Colorado has lost 4 of their last 5 games overall. Florida bullpen has a 3.24 ERA overall this year. Clay Hensley is 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA on the road this season. Hensley is 4-1 with a 3.07 ERA overall vs Colorado since 1997. Millwood is 7-9 with a 5.53 ERA overall vs Florida since 1997. We’ll recommend a small play on Florida tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky Atkinson

Pick: Milwaukee Brewers -155
Play on Milwaukee at 8:10 ET. It’s very difficult not to just take the Brewers every game they play at home. They are 44-15 this season at Miller Park, which is the best home record in MLB. That includes a 15-2 record last 17 home games. They are also 16-0 here if they allowed 3 runs or less in back to back games. They are 10-0 at home after scoring 2 runs or less this season. As a favorite of -150 or more, they are 25-3. Brewers lefty Randy Wolf has won three straight starts and faces a Dodgers lineup that is averaging just 3.7 runs per game vs. southpaws. 10* on Milwaukee (w/ Wolf). -Tom Freese (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Tampa Bay Rays +130
The Tampa Bay Rays are showing excellent value Thursday as a home underdog to the New York Yankees. Ace James Shields takes the ball for Tampa, looking to build on what has been a tremendous season to this point for the right-hander. Shields is 8-8 with a 2.60 ERA and 1.002 WHIP with 145 strikeouts in 148 2/3 innings. He faced off against C.C. Sabathia on July 10th less than two weeks ago, not allowing a single earned run in 8 innings while giving up only 5 base runners to the Yankees. While Sabathia has been solid as well, Tampa is 30-13 (+18.4 Units) against the money line vs. an AL starting pitcher whose ERA is 3.20 or better over the last 2 seasons. The Rays are 5-1 in their last 6 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15. Tampa is 4-1 in Shields’ last 5 starts as a home underdog, while the Yankees are 1-4 in Sabathia’s last 5 road starts vs. Rays. Take the Rays on the Money Line. -Black Widow

Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks -110
Play on Arizona at 9:40 ET. Milwaukee has won 2 straight at Arizona (and 8 of 9), but they remain a bad road team at 20-32 (compared to 33-14 at home). Starter Zack Greinke has really struggled on the road this season (6.19 ERA) and the last two seasons (6-17 TSR). For his career, Grienke has a terrible 15-45 TSR as a road underdog. The team is 2-13 on the road this season after allowing 2 runs or less their previous game. Arizona’s Ian Kennedy is in fine form this year with a 113-37 KW ratio. 10* on Arizona. -Tom Freese

Pick: Yankees vs. Rays Under 7
These clubs have played to the Under in 5 of their last 7 meetings, and I expect this trend to continue with Sabathia and Shields taking the mound. These two were dominant when they faced off on July 10. Both threw 4 hitters in a 1-0 Yankees’ win. Sabathia enters in ridiculously good form, allowing 1 or fewer runs in each of his last 5 starts. Shields has allowed 2 earned runs of less in 5 of his last 7 starts. Tampa Bay’s recent drought at the plate also weighs in our favor here. The Rays have scored just seven runs over their last 42 innings. The Under is 5-1 in the Yankees’ last 6 overall and 15-3 in Shields’ last 18 home starts. Take the Under. -Jimmy Boyd (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Toronto Blue Jays +135
5* graded play on the Toronto Blue Jays as they take on the New York Yankees set to start at 7:07 PM ET. My proprietary simulator and statistical database shows a high probability that Toronto will win this game. Supporting this graded play is a system that has produced a 29-12 mark making 25.4 units per one unit wagered since 1997. Play on home teams that are struggling hitting teams batting= 2.000 over his last three starts and now facing an excellent AL starting pitcher sporting an ERA

Pick: Royals vs. Twins Over 8
Whenever these two teams meet up, there is a good chance that they will go over the total. Over the last three seasons the OVER is 29-14 between these two clubs, and 15-4 in the L19 games played in Minnesota. The oddsmakers have once again set this total to low. For starters Minnesota will send Francisco Liriano to the mound, who continues to be overvalued after throwing a no-hitter earlier this year. Liriano is just 5-7 with a 5.06 ERA in 15 starts, and only 2-3 with a 6.99 ERA and 1.420 WHIP at home. The Royals will start Bruce Chen. He brings in a solid 5-2 record with a 3.26 ERA, but is just 1-2 with a 6.75 ERA in four career starts against the Twins. The OVER is 6-0-1 in Royals last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The OVER is 8-2 in Twins last 10 games as a home favorite of -110 to -150, and 12-3-2 in Twins last 17 during game 1 of a series. -Steve Janus (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: New York Yankees -151
NY Yankees are 42-18 last 3 years on the road when the total is 8 to 8 1/2. NY Yankees are 7-2 their last 9 overall. NY Yankees bullpen has a 3.03 ERA overall this year and a 3.21 ERA on the road this season. CC Sabathia is 11-4 with a 3.05 ERA overall this year, 6-2 with a 2.62 ERA on the road this season and 3-0 with a 1.99 ERA his last 3 starts. We’ll recommend a small play on the NY Yankees tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky Atkinson

Pick: Cincinnati Reds +140
It’s been a rough 5 weeks for the Cardinals and they are not a dominant home team. The Reds are 15-6 in their last 21 vs. the National League Central and have hard throwing righty Edinson Volquez on the hill, who has fanned 82 in 79+ innings. The Reds are 20-8 in Volquez’s last 28 starts vs. the National League Central. Cincy has one of the top offenses in the game, so grab the very live dog. Play the Reds. -Jim Fiest

Pick: Tampa Bay Rays -110
Shields goes for one of the top road teams in TB today. Shields has been so good this year and tonight he keeps up his recent dominance, 3-1 L4 starts with a sub 2.40 ERA. Add to it that TB has won 6 of 8 this year head to head makes it tough to pass up at this price. Baker has been good lately for MIN but today he meets a hot Road team in TB. 4 1/2 star play. -Craig Trapp (Handicapperspicks.com)
