Pick: NC State +10.5
Getting swept in the season series last year figures to be all the motivation NC State needs to take the Heels right down to the wire Saturday. And fortunately for us, a disappointing result in its last game at Clemson assures us that the Wolfpack will be extremely focused. Consider that NC State is 24-9 ATS in its last 33 games following an embarrassing road loss in which it was held to fewer than 60 points. The Pack is actually bouncing back to win by an average score of 72.7 to 69.4 in this situation. The time to fade this overvalued UNC squad is now. After all, the Tar Heels are 0-7 ATS after 2 or more consecutive wins this season. UNC is also just 2-11 ATS in home games when playing against a good team (Win Pct. 60% to 80%) over the last 3 seasons. We’ll take the points. -Jeff Alexander

Pick: Georgia +11.5
UK has been great last few years but one team that always give them trouble is this GEO team. In fact the early beat down to start conference play was just a month ago. Road team has dominated ATS in this head to head series winning 6 of last 8 games. This young UK team doesn’t rebound or defend enough to cover this big number. -Craig Trapp

Pick: Northwestern +11.5
The Buckeyes are coming off a big win over Purdue, but we can’t overlook the fact that 5 of their last 7 Big Ten wins have come by 5 points or less. Off back-to-back defeats, the Wildcats will be focused and ready to go after the target on Ohio State’s back. Consider that plays on underdogs of 10 or more points after 2 or more consecutive losses, provided they are up against an opponent that has rattled off 9 or more consecutive wins, are 62-33 ATS the last 5 seasons. The Wildcats are an extremely dangerous team on their home floor, where they have covered the spread in 11 of their last 14. Plus, they are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog of 7.0-12.5 points. As you might expect, odds makers have overvalued the top team in the nation here because of the public betting attention a No. 1 demands. We’ll take the points. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Oklahoma State -2
The Texas Tech Red Raiders are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog. The Cowboys are 37-12-2 ATS in their last 51 games as a favorite, 42-16-2 ATS in their last 60 games as a favorite of 6.5 points or less and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a road favorite. Off back-to-back defeats, expect the Cowboys to bounce back strong against this inferior Texas Tech squad. Lay the points. -Dave Price

Pick: UCLA -2
On Saturday the Free NCAAB Play is on UCLA. Game 563 at 3:30 eastern. UCLA has won 16 of 18 vs teams with a losing record. They are 5-1 after allowing 80 or more, 29-7 vs teams who score less than 65 points per game and 10-4 ats as a road favorite of 3 or less. Today they take on an Arizona St team that is 7-16 as a home dog of 3 or less and 3-8 vs winning teams. In conference play they have struggled losing 7 of 8 thus far. As an underdog they have lost 6 of 7. Look for UCLA to get the win and cover in this Pac 10 affair. On Saturday I have 5 Big plays including the NCAAB Sun Belt Conference Game of the Year and 3 Perfect Angle Power plays. In the NBA its another Cutting edge 100% NBA System Game of the Week. For the free play take UCLA. -Rob Vinciletti (Handicapperspicks.com)

I’m laying the points with Oklahoma State on Saturday night. The Cowboys are looking to snap a seven game series losing streak when OU visits Stillwater. Both teams still have a shot at representing the Big-12 South in the conference championship game. OSU’s offense is about as good as it gets. And while they can beat anyone through the air with maybe the best receiver in college football, the Cowboys may also be inclined to spend some time running right at the vulnerable Sooner run defense. The OU defense allows 155 yrpg on 4.3 yards per pop. RB Kendall Hunter could very well take this game over if OU focuses on QB Brandon Weeden and WR Justin Blackmon. Hunter has rushed for more than 1,400 yards this season with 16 TDs. And we saw this offense hang 41 points in a 10 point loss to Nebraska. The Cornhuskers, like the Sooners, are one of the few college football teams to run a pro-style attacking defense. And obviously, the Cowboys didn’t have much trouble moving the football and reaching paydirt. Oklahoma has their own skilled “triplets” on offense in QB Landry Jones, RB DeMarco Murray, and WR Ryan Broyles, but Oklahoma State’s version lead the conference in passing, rushing, and receiving. The Sooners did win a road game last week in Waco, but they were 1-2 in their previous three road games, winning by just two points at Cincinnati, while losing at Missouri and Texas A&M. None of the offenses they have faced offer as many sets and weapons as Oklahoma State’s. The Cowboys have never beaten the Sooners under the direction of HC Mike Gundy, but I believe they’ll snap that skid right here. As far as the “techs” are concerned, in conference matchups, you’re 53-19 ATS playing against road dogs in a game involving two teams that average at least 34 ppg after seven or more games. We’ll back the Cowboys on Saturday. Thanks! GL! Scott. (Handicapperspicks.com)

Scott Spreitzer’s BIGGEST and most POWERFUL 3-pack of the college football season goes on Satuday. Scott’s releasing THREE winning sides, including not one, but two MASSIVE MISMATCH plays (5-1-1 TY)! And the 3 sides are backed by multiple angles that combine for a 29-5 ATS record. Grab the TRIPLE-PACK then go 3-0!

College Football Betting: The Best And The Worst Of The Big 12: September 15th 2010

The Big XII has had its ups and downs this season, but there have been some big winners that have made sharp NCAA football bettors some great coin. Texas A&M has been the king of the college football picks in the Big 12 from our perspective here at BetUS Sportsbook.
CLICK FOR MIKE ROSE’ EXPERT COLLEGE FOOTBALL PICKS

1: Texas A&M Aggies (2-0 ATS, 2-0 SU) – The perfect South only has one undefeated team ATS. Jerrod Johnson and the crew should rack up another pointspread scalp against FIU this weekend.

2: Oklahoma Sooners (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) – Crushing Florida State totally erased any doubts from those who made college football picks against Utah State in Week 1.

3: Kansas Jayhawks (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) – Hard to argue with beating Georgia Tech, even if the Jayhawks couldn’t beat North Dakota State.

4: Oklahoma State Cowboys (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) – Crushing Wazzou was supposed to send a real message to the Big XII… But the Cowboys learned that the Cougs are still one of the worst teams in the land.

5: Baylor Bears (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) – How many guesses would it have taken to get to Baylor as boasting the top defense in the Big XII through two weeks of college football picks?

6: Missouri Tigers (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) – Since the second half of the duel against Illinois, the Tigers have outscored their opponents 70-6. Mizzou should roll to 5-0 from here without any troubles.

7: Texas Tech Red Raiders (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) – The Red Raiders have stayed true to the Air Raid in the Tommy Tuberville era. There will be lots of college football picks on these guys at home this week against UT.

8: Colorado Buffaloes (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) – Does beating Colorado State really mean anything anymore for the Buffs? At least for now, it meant that Dan Hawkins can keep his job. Check back with us to see if that’s still true next week.

9: Kansas State Wildcats (1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) – We buy the fact that the Wildcats took care of UCLA in the home opener, but 27 points allowed to Missouri State? We would think the Cats are on their way to 4-0 before Nebraska comes to town, but we’re not so sure now.

10: Iowa State Cyclones (1-1 ATS, 1-1 SU) – The trip to Kinnick proved to be way too much for the Cyclones to endure last week.

11: Nebraska Cornhuskers (0-1-1 ATS, 2-0 SU) – The Huskers have been winning games, but making college football picks on them has been a bad idea so far this year. The trip to U-Dub won’t be a fun one this week.

12: Texas Longhorns (0-2 ATS, 2-0 SU) – If the Horns drop to 0-3 ATS this week, they’re probably dropping out of the Top 10 as well. A tough task lies ahead in Lubbock.
