Prediction: Portland Trailblazers +1.5
Dwight Howard will serve his 1-game suspension tonight when the Orlando Magic host the Portland Trail Blazers. NBA rules mandate an automatic one-game suspension when a player accumulates 16 technical fouls in a season. The Blazers are very strong inside with LaMarcus Aldridge, Marcus Camby and Gerald Wallace. Portland will dominate the paint tonight and will have a huge rebounding edge which will lead to a nice road victory for them. Orlando lost at Portland 97-83 on Dec. 9 despite 39 points and 15 rebounds from Howard. The rest of the Magic scored 44 points and shot 17 of 51 (33.3 percent). The Blazers are finally getting healthy with Brandon Roy and Camby recently returning to the line-up. They put together one of their most complete performances of the season with a 93-69 home victory over the Charlotte Bobcats last time out. This will only be Portland’s 2nd game in 5 days so they will be fresh and ready to go. The Trail Blazers are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Magic are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. Bet the Blazers Monday. -Jack Jones

Prediction: Sacramento Kings +4.5
On Monday the NBA Free system play is on the Sacramento Kings. Game 514 at 10:00 eastern. The Kings fit a solid home dog system here tonight. What we want to do is play on home dogs of 4.5 or less with 1 or more day of rest with a total of 190 or higher and scored 100 or more as a road dog vs an opponent that scored 110 or more as a home favorite. Home dogs in this system actually win the game outright 14 of 18 times and cover to a 15-3 mark. Houston is just 4-9 off a win of 10 or more points. Look for the Kings to ground the Rockets. On Monday I have the NBA Non Conference Total of the Month with a 100% Totals system that beats the line by 16 points + 98% NBA System side and an NCAAB Conference Tournament Pure Power 20-0 Angle. Jump on and Cash Big tonight. NCABB On a 15-5 run after Cashing Florida St and NBA 17 Games over winning with Milwaukee. On Monday night I will have an additional free play on the weekly sports talk radio show at 8:05 eastern. Listen online at 88.9 wsia.fm. For the free play take the Sacramento Kings. -Rob Vinciletti

Prediction: Utah Jazz +7
While your initial thought might be to load up on the Knicks at home, this is a very tired New York team. Tonight’s game will be their fifth in the last seven days, and that really takes a toll on teams this late in the season. Utah on the other hand will have some fresh legs, as they get ready to play just their third game in the same time span. New York has also failed to win back to back games since they acquired Carmelo Anthony, and just won at Atlanta yesterday. New York is just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5, and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a SU win of more than 10 points. Bet Utah! -Steve Janus

Prediction: Charlotte Bobcats +1.5
The Bobcats are expected to be without Stephen Jackson, but the Clippers are expected to be without Eric Gordon. The loss of Gordon is a serious matter, considering the Clippers are only 4-16 without him. His loss is compounded by the fact that L.A. is playing this one on the road, where it is just 5-25 on the season. Charlotte has lost 4 straight, but all of those defeats came of the road. The Bobcats have been much better on their home floor, where they have won 3 straight and 4 of their last 5. 2 of the victories in this stretch have come against Boston and the L.A. Lakers. The Bobcats’ last defeat was a brutal 93-69 loss at Portland. History tells us it is a great idea to get behind the Bobcats after such a poor offensive performance. In fact, they are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring less than 75 points in their previous game. The Clippers are a disappointing 16-42 ATS in their last 58 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a road favorite. Take the points. -Jimmy Boyd (Handicapperspicks.com)

Basketball Betting Picks for February 16th 2011: Back The Mavericks And Jazz Wednesday

Pick: Dallas Mavericks -11
The All-Star break can’t get here fast enough for this Kings team, which is dealing with tension between players and a foot injury to star guard Tyreke Evans. The Kings were crushed by 30 at Oklahoma City last night, and this one could get ugly as well. The Kings have played the Mavs tough in two prior meetings this season, losing by just two points in each. However, I expect the rested Mavs to flex their muscles this evening. The Mavericks have averaged 114.6 points on 51.7 percent shooting during a 13-game home winning streak over Sacramento that spans nearly 8 years. While many teams are motivated following such embarrassing defeats, the Kings haven’t been one of them lately. In fact, they are just 9-20 ATS in their last 29 games following a loss of more than 10 points and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous game. The Kings are just 4-13-1 ATS in the last 18 meetings in Dallas, and I expect their struggles in the Big “D” to continue. Lay the points.

Pick: Utah Jazz -4.5
Utah is 28-14 ATS after playing a game as a road underdog over the last 2 seasons, and are 17-6 ATS after a road game where both teams score 100 or more points over the last 2 seasons. Utah is also 25-14 ATS versus poor defensive teams – allowing 99+ points/game – 2nd half of the season over the last 2 seasons. Golden State is just 6-18 on the road this season, and are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU win of more than 10 points. -Info Plays

Pick: Loyola-Chicago -3
On Wednesday the Horizon League Power Play is on Loyola Chicago. Game 773 at 8:00 eastern. Loyola is 8-2 vs losing teams and has won and covered every times the past 3 years as a road favorite of 3 or less. They have won 11 of 15 games vs teams who score 65 or less points per game and are taking on an Illinois Chicago team that is 2-11 vs winning teams and 3-8 straight up and ats after scoring 60 or less points. They have lost 10 of 12 with revenge and are 2-13 in conference good for last place. In the battle of 2 windy city team take Illinois Chicago. On Wednesday its the 6* Double Perfect Conference USA goy and 2 Big NBA plays including eastern Conference Game of the Month and 100% Blowout system. Three Big games up now. -Rob Vinciletti (Handicapperspicks.com)

Basketball Picks for February 15th 2011: Bet On Michigan State and Air Force

Pick: Michigan State +13
As poorly as the Spartans have played all year long (at least for Michigan State standards), this is a play against Ohio State, as we have yet to see how the Buckeyes play and respond after a loss. Ohio State was up big in the second half at Wisconsin last Saturday before they just blew it. Who knows exactly how this Buckeyes team will come to play. I do know another loss by State is far more damaging than a lackluster victory by Ohio State at home. We’re inching closer to March, and that means Tom Izzo’s teams turn it up. Let’s see if they can’t make it happen a couple of weeks early here in Columbus. We have a full card going on Super Tuesday and you can get all of our picks with a one week package. -Doc’s Sports

Pick: Air Force +15.5
Living in Las Vegas allows me to really know this Conference and particularly the UNLV team. The Rebels have fallen short of expectations once again. Their inability to shoot from long range has killed the squad. They are a mere 29.9% from beyond the arc. Opponents are aware of this, adjust to it, and make it hard for UNLV’s Tre’Von Willis to get to the hole down low. The Rebel’s have been horrible against the number, going 1-6 ATS their L7 overall. It doesn’t get any better at home where UNLV is just 2-8 ATS their L10 when playing host. Air Force has been solid ATS, going 7-3 vs. the number their L10. The Falcons Michael Lyons and Tom Fow are combining for 25.0 PPG and 7.2 RPG. Outside of their 90-52 beat down at the hands of BYU, Air Force has played some good defense. UNLV has had their way over Air Force recently. But that only motivates the Falc’s in this one. The road team is 6-0 ATS in their L6 meetings. Air Force is 4-1 ATS their L5 at UNLV, 5-0 ATS their L5 as a road ‘dog, and 9-3 ATS their L12 vs. the MWC. UNLV is 1-6 ATS their L7 overall, 1-5 ATS their L6 as a fav, and 1-6 ATS their L7 vs. the MWC. Take the points with the Falcon’s. Thank you. -Joseph D’Amico

Pick: Utah Jazz +4.5
The Jazz blew a 12-point halftime lead in a loss to Phoenix on Feb. 11. Utah hasn’t played since, which means that defeat has been making its blood boil more each day. Motivated by that loss, and with 3 full days to prepare, expect the Jazz to return the favor. Lately, the Jazz have been a solid investment following an ATS defeat. In fact, they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss. The Suns, which are coming off a SU and ATS loss to Sacramento, are just 5-11-2 ATS in their last 18 games following an ATS loss. We also can’t ignore how well the road team has fared in this series. Consider that the away squad is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. It is also worth noting that the Jazz are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings in Phoenix. With a few days for the air to clear following Jerry Sloan’s exit, the Jazz should be much more focused tonight. Take the points. -Jimmy Boyd (Handicapperspicks.com)

NBA Picks for January 31st 2011: Pacers And Magic Look Like Solid Wagers

Pick: Bobcats vs. Jazz Over 189
On Monday night the NBA Totals system play is on the Over in the Charlotte at Utah Game. Rotation numbers 711/712 at 9:05 eastern. This game fits a totals system which has Cashed 19 of 27 times since 1995. While not high enough of a percentage to be unit rated its definitely good for the free play. What we want to do is play the over for home favorites with no rest that scored 90 or less points as a road dog vs an opponent that also scored 90 or less points and had 25 or less assists. The Jazz as a team have gone over the total 3 of 4 times this season home with no rest off a road game and 7 of 8 times vs South East Division teams. In the series 11 of the last 13 have flown over the total including all 6 here in Utah. The Bobcats have played over the total in 5 of 7 games with home loss revenge. Look for this one to Play over the total tonight. On Monday I have the 100% Monday night TV Game of the season that’s backed with 8 power angles. I also have another cutting edge NBA Power system Play. Last night we nailed another solid 5* NBA winner as we continue to cash in the NBA. For the Free Play Go over the total Charlotte at Utah. -Rob Vinciletti

Pick: Indiana Pacers -8.5
The Pacers are on a 5-0 SU and ATS run at home in this series, winning these games by an average score of 120-104. The Pacers already own a 24-point home win over the Raptors this season. Revenge doesn’t appear to be in the cards for Toronto tonight when you consider that plays against underdogs (TORONTO) looking to avenge a road blowout loss of 20 points or more, if they are an extremely tired team playing their 3rd game in 4 days, are 75-39 ATS the last 5 seasons. Also, Indiana is an impressive 15-5 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 9.5 points over the last 2 seasons, winning these games by an average of 11.6 points. Expect the Pacers to play hard for interim coach Frank Vogel to get the win and cover tonight. Lay the points. -Jeff Alexander

Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers +17.5
LeBron James and company are coming off a big win over the Thunder Sunday. Plus, James has already defeated his former team twice this season. I just don’t see the Heat being motivated enough to lay the pedal to the metal here against the worst team in the NBA. Expect Miami to go through the motions, doing just enough to come out on top. Cleveland will want this game more tonight. That doesn’t mean it will win, but it should be competitive. That, combined with Miami’s apathy toward this game, is enough reason to think the Cavs can keep this one within the number. Consider that Miami is just 4-14 ATS in its last 18 games as a favorite of 10 or more points. It is only winning these games by an average of 9.0 points. Also, plays on road underdogs of 10 or more points looking to avenge a road loss to an opponent, provided they have a losing record, are an impressive 106-56 ATS the last 5 seasons. Take the points. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Orlando Magic -1.5
Orlando is 15-5 in their last 20 games overall and are clearly the superior team in this showdown with the Memphis Grizzlies. Four of their five losses during this stretch came against the top teams in the league, and they aren’t about to lose to a .500 team like the Grizzlies. The Magic have won each of their last two meetings with Memphis by 15 and 17 points, respectively. That 17-point victory came earier this season as they shut down the Grizzlies by a final of 89-72. This play falls into a system that is 93-50 (65%) ATS since 1996. It tells us to bet against underdogs (Memphis) – revenging a loss where team scored less than 75 points, with a winning percentage of between 45-55% on the season. Orlando is 27-15 ATS versus up-tempo teams averaging 83 or more shots/game over the last 2 seasons. The Magic are 54-29 ATS after having won 15 or more of their last 20 games over the last 3 seasons. The Grizzlies are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a home underdog of 0.5-4.5. Take Orlando Monday. -Jack Jones (Handicapperspicks.com)
