Pick: Washington Redskins +9
Prior to last week’s 15-point loss to the Jets, which was a much closer game than the final score leads you to believe (Washington led in the 4th quarter), the Redskins hadn’t lost by more than 8 points in any of their home games. Doing the math, we find that Washington is only losing by an average of 3.0 points at home this season. This is the most points the Redskins have been catching all season and also the most points the Patriots have laid on the road. And frankly, this is too many points for a New England team that ranks dead last in the league in total defense with 412.1 yards allowed per game to be laying away from home. Going back to 1992, the Redskins are a rock solid 58-38 ATS when valued as an underdog of 3.5 to 9.5 points. They are also a perfect 9-0 ATS in their last 9 games in the second half of the season versus terrible defensive teams that allow 6 yards or more per play. New England has the second-best passing attack in the league, but Washington is a reliable 13-2 ATS in its last 15 games versus excellent passing teams averaging 260 or more passing yards per game, provided it is at least 8 games into the season. Washington’s defense has not allowed a 300-yard passer all season. Plus, Tom Brady struggled against Mike Shanahan’s teams when the coach was in Denver. Brady went 1-5 against Shanahan’s Broncos, completing just 56.5 percent of his passes and posting a 78.1 passer rating. We’ll take the points. Like clockwork, Jimmy has started the late-season surge clients have counted on for years. With Saturday’s winner on Army +7, his football plays are a HOT 8-3-1 (73%) this month and a Tremendous 34-19-1 (64%) going back to Nov. 10.

Pick: Kansas City Chiefs +11
The Chiefs, who have quietly covered the spread in 7 of their last 10, are an impressive 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog, 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games as an underdog of 10.5 points or more and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Kansas City defense has been playing very well. It held the Steelers to 290 yards in a 13-9 loss in Week 12, and it held the Bears to 181 yards in last week’s 10-3 victory. Look for the KC defense to play well enough to keep this one within the number. Take the points.

Pick: Oakland Raiders +12.5
The Packers haven’t won by more than 12 points in any of their last 3 games and 5 of their last 6. They’ll have a difficult time running away from an Oakland team that will be hungry after laying an egg in Miami. Playing on underdogs or pick (OAKLAND) off a road blowout loss by 14 points or more, in December games, has produced a 99-55 ATS record the last 28 years. Teams in this situation have covered the spread 64.2% of the time while only losing by an average of 3.1 points. This system is 14-5 ATS the last 3 seasons. The Raiders are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a loss, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog of 10.5 points or more. The Packers are just 8-17-2 ATS in their last 27 games as a favorite of 10.5 or more points. We’ll bet the Raiders. -Jeff Alexander (Handicapperspicks.com)

On Sunday the NFL System Club Play is on the Washington Redskins. Game 317 at 1:00 eastern. The Skins have Rex Grossman making the start today for a benched Donovan Mcnabb. However they fit a solid system here. What we want to do is play on road dogs from +5 to +10 off a home dog loss and ats cover and prior road dog loss. These teams have covered 13 of 16 times since 1980. The Skins are 13-3 ats vs less than .500 teams in December on the road off a loss. They are a solid road dog in this range long term at 32-14 ats. Dallas has failed 5 of 6 times as favorite this season and 3 of 4 times vs an opponent with revenge. Look for Washington to keep this one close today. On Sunday I have the 8 Unit NFL Game of the Year with 3 Power system one is 100% Perfect. I also have a 15-2 five star totals system and 2 other Best Bet system sides. NBA Continues to Dominate on Sunday I have a 5* total that averages 225 ppg. Jump on and Cash Big on what looks to be our biggest day of the year. Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars -4
The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Oakland Raiders on Sunday and this falls into a simple system: bet against West Coast teams on the road in the East Coast playing 1:00 PM ET games. For those who aren’t too familiar with the system, the basic concept is that the Raiders, who are the West Coast team, will be playing at what is essentially 10:00 AM their time. The Raiders last two road games (in Tennessee and in Pittsburgh), they were outscored by a combined score of 70-16. Also, the Raiders are on back-to-back road games, which should further bite into their freshness. Jaguars star Maurice Jones-Drew has topped 100 yards rushing in five straight games, including a career-high 186 yards in last week’s 17-6 win at Tennessee. Jacksonville has won three of four all-time meetings between the teams, including the most recent one, a 49-11 rout at home in 2007. Jacksonville (7-5) took a one-game lead over Indianapolis in the division race when the Jaguars beat Tennessee and the Colts lost to Dallas last week – the Jaguars haven’t been in first place this late in the season since 1999, when they won their last division title. One key trend favors them as well. Jacksonville is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games. The Jaguars are an underrated squad. Bet them to cover on Sunday. -Ray Monohan

Pick: Cleveland Browns +1
Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #5 Take Cleveland Browns over Buffalo Bills (Sunday 1 pm CBS) The Buffalo Bills have been tough luck losers all season long but to me it became evident last week that this season has finally caught up with them. A team can only take so much heartbreak and after they gave the Steelers the game in overtime with a dropped touchdown pass; they got blown out at Minnesota last week by a score of 38-14. I expect that they now have thrown in the towel on the 2010 season and we will go against them on Sunday backing the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have won four of their last six games and that includes victories at Miami and at New Orleans. If they can win at those places, they can certainly beat the Bills in upstate New York. Cleveland is 15-2 ATS in their last 17 games against teams with a losing home record. Do not miss Doc’s Sports strong NFL card featuring three plays on Sunday and a top play winner on Monday Night Football! -Doc’s Sports

Pick: Buccaneers vs. Redskins Over 41
The Bucs have played a string of very good defensive teams as of late. Atlanta twice, Baltimore and San Francisco. Against the weaker defenses they have faced lately Tampa Bay produced 31 against Carolina and 38 against Arizona. Overall the Bucs have reached 21 points or more in 5 of their last 6 games. They should have little problem moving the ball on a Washington team who has permitted 30 points or more five times including 59 to the Eagles. Washington has not been a very efficient offense this season but they haven’t faced too many stop units as weak as Tampa Bay. The Bucs average allowing 15.2 points and 192.2 yards in the first half and we fully expect the Skins to be aggressive offensively on Sunday. The Skins have been held in check against the top stop units in the NFL but they produced 27 against Houston, 24 against Indianapolis and 25 against Detroit. They should be good for at least 21 here and likely 24 which would put this game firmly over the total. While neither of these offenses are considered strong, the defensive weaknesses will enable both teams to move the football. -Bryan Leonard

Pick: Carolina Panthers +8
It has been a dreadful year for the Carolina Panthers (1-11) who have ‘covered’ only three times while getting points in 10 of their 12 games. Atlanta is coming off a huge come-from-behind fourth quarter win over Tampa Bay last week and my not be in the right frame of mind while facing the lowly Panthers. The Falcons have been out-gained in their last two wins and are just 3-13 against the points after back-to-back wins against a foe off a loss. Hard to believe that the Panthers (#1-5) at home are the side. Take CAROLINA! -Chip Chirimbes (Handicapperspicks.com)

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins
Game Date/Time: Monday, November 15, 8:35 ET
Game Location: FedEx Field, Washington, DC
TV/Radio Broadcast: ESPN, Westwood One
NFL Football Odds: Philadelphia Eagles (-3) -125 vs. Washington Redskins (+3) +105: Over/Under 43

Philadelphia (5-3) picked up a big home win last week against the Indianapolis Colts but a late Colts touchdown following a ‘phantom’ call against Peyton Manning left many football betting backers of the Eagles disappointed and disgusted. Washington should be ready for their division rival, as the Redskins are rested off their bye week, and quarterback Donovan McNabb gets a second shot at his former team.

Donovan McNabb and the Redskins beat the Eagles 17-12 in Week 4 this season as a football betting underdog. Washington jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead and held off quarterback Kevin Kolb and the Eagles for a low-scoring win. McNabb was just 8-for-19 and had 125 passing yards in that contest, and he’s been battling behind a suspect offensive lines going through shuffling, changes and little continuity. Washington (4-4) has lacked an identify on offense as head coach Mike Shanahan likes to run the football, and the lack of solid line play has limited the running game. So too has the running back position, as the Redskins had to turn to a scout team running back Ryan Torain with injuries to Clinton Portis. The lack of ground game and consistent passing success will hurt the Redskins and their football betting backers this week.

Philadelphia has too many offensive weapons and Michael Vick is back to starting at quarterback to give the Eagles more mobility and playmaking options. Vick and the Eagles offense struggled in the red zone last week settling for three field goals inside the Colts 10 yard line. But more football betting success is expected this week against a Washington defense that has been among the very worst in the league allowing 393 yards per game. The Eagles should have plenty of success moving the ball with smooth running back LeSean McCoy able to slash and speed his way against a Redskins run defense allowing 4.6 yards per rush to rank #26 in the NFL. McCoy is a big threat in the passing game as well, catching short screens and passes while leading the Eagles in receptions. Big play receivers DeSean Jackson is an electric home run threat with exceptional speed and game breaking ability. Combined with wide receiver Jeremy Macklin, quarterback Vick should have plenty of options for football betting success.

NFL Insider Tip: The road team is 6-1-1 ATS the last eight meetings. Philadelphia coach Andy Reid is 31-15 ATS away with revenge, including 14-5 ATS against division opponents. Reid and the Eagles are 6-0 ATS on the division road on Monday night match-ups. Washington is 0-9 SU and ATS their last nine Monday night home games. Washington is the only NFL team to lose the stats (total yardage) in every game they played this season, and they are most likely to be out-gained by the Eagles again setting up a football betting winner on Philadelphia.

My NFL Predictions: Philadelphia Eagles (-3) -125
