Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder -8
Off three straight losses to three of the best teams in the NBA (Spurs, Magic, Lakers), the Thunder will be ready to take out their frustrations on the Pacers this evening. In addition to its motivational edge, OKC also has the edge in terms of freshness. The Thunder have had two days to gear up for this one while the Pacers just played last night. With this in mind, I can’t fail to mention that the Pacers are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games when playing without a day of rest. It also can’t be ignored that Indiana is 1-8 ATS when matched up against a good team (Win Pct. 60% to 70%) this season, losing to these foes by an average score of 100.7 to 90.1. It is also worth noting that the Pacers are 6-18 ATS as a road underdog of 6.5 to 9 points over the last 2 seasons, losing these contests by an average score of 107.1 to 94.3. We’ll lay the points. -Jimmy boyd

Pick: Portland Trailblazers -3
Sacramento is 15-43 straight up this year. The Kings are 17-37-1 ATS their 55 games as underdogs 0.5 to 4.5 points. The Kings are 2-5 ATS their last 7 games as underdogs. The Kings are 10-29-1 ATS their last 40 games as home underdogs. Portland is 33-27 straight up this year. The Blazers are 25-10-3 ATS their last 38 games as road favorites. The Blazers are 6-0-1 ATS their last 7 road games vs. a team with home win percentage of less than 40%. Portland is 26-11-1 ATS when playing with no rest. The Blazers are 4-0 ATS at Sacramento. PLAY ON PORTLAND -Tom Freese

Pick: Washington Wizards +1
We think Washington gets back in the win column tonight against a Golden State team that has been playing pretty badly on the road, dropping eight of their last 11 games away from home. The Wizards have had a pretty brutal schedule lately and most of their winnable games have been on the road, where they are hopeless. However, this team is decent at home and we just think that they give their best effort tonight against an opponent that they can beat. The Warriors come in on a back-to-back after playing a pretty uninspiring game last night in Indiana. Golden State is not the same offensive team on the road and Washington plays decent defense at home so we just don’t think the Warriors can run away with this one by simply outscoring their opponent. The Wizards have won three of the last four meetings straight up and have covered in four of the last five. -Doc’s Sports (Handicapperspicks.com)

Pick: Colorado +7.5
Colorado 11-0 at home and a very good sleeper team in the Big 12. They score 81 ppg at home and hit 51 percent from the floor on the season in Boulder! Kansas off a devastating loss and way to inconsistent right now to lay this type of number on the road. You never know who is going to show up for KU, and against Colorado at home, you better bet the A Game of the Buffs will be in tact and the arena sold out for this one. A very tough place to play. Colorado has some horses to hang tight and not sure how KU is going to react after a blowout loss as a big favortie against Texas on Saturday. A very tough spot for KU, I will galdly take the points here in a half unit free play. -Tony George

Pick: Washington Wizards +5.5
Denver is a completely different team on the road where it is 5-13 on the season and has lost three in a row and 12 of 15. The Nuggets are averaging 8.1 points fewer and allowing 4.4 points per game more outside the Pepsi Center. It’s not like the Nuggets have only been losing to quality opponents either. They were blown out by 20 points at Sacramento earlier this month. The Wizards are 13-9 at home this season and defeated Boston 85-83 in their last home game. They have won 5 of their last 6 in their home gym. The Nuggets are 7-20-2 ATS in their last 29 road games. They are also 8-19 ATS in their last 27 road games as a favorite, losing these games by an average score of 104.8 to 104.6. The fade is on until Denver proves it can take care of business away from home, especially when laying this much chalk. Take the points. -Jimmy Boyd

Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers +18
The Cavaliers had a brutal road trip made worse by the fact that they played a string of teams that like to run uptempo. The Cavs shifted gears the last game and played a slow, defensive-oriented team in the Bulls and covered as a big dog. Now they face a similar defensive team, Boston, a veteran club battling a lot of injuries. The Celtics are better defensively with Kevin Garnett back, but are still thin up front and on the bench because of injuries. Boston is 5-11-1 ATS the last 17 games. Play the Cavaliers. -Jim Feist

Pick: Dallas Mavericks -5.5
The Clippers are 17-26 straight up this year. Los Angeles is 16-36 ATS their last 52 road games vs. a team with a win percentage of over 60%. The Clippers are 15-36 their last 51 games vs. NBA Southwest teams. The Clippers are 0-6 ATS their last 6 Tuesday games. Dallas is 28-15 straight up this year. The Mavericks are 7-2 ATS their last 9 games vs. NBA Pacific teams. Dallas is 13-6 ATS their last 19 games off a straight up win. The favorite in this series is 4-0 ATS the last 4 meetings. Pick: Washington Wizards -1
It is fairly safe to assume that everyone is aware of the Wizards issues on the road this season. They are 0-20 away from home, the lone winless road team in the NBA. Washington has 12 more wins at home than on the road, which is the second largest margin in the NBA behind Denver’s 14-game disparity. The Wizards have won four straight games at home and since losing to Cleveland and Charlotte early in the season, the other six home losses have come against elite opposition. The Suns have put a very solid run together as they have won four straight games but I am still not sold on Phoenix. Prior to this winning streak, it went 3-11 in its previous 14 games and while some of that can be blamed on the recent trades which created a lot of turnover, the simple fact is this team is not as talented as it used to be. The Suns are four games under .500 on the road which isn’t horrible but they have not done well against the lesser teams, going just 3-5 ATS in games against teams with a losing record. Phoenix is coming off a win against Cleveland while covering by just a half-point. The Cavaliers fell behind by 17 points but made a massive comeback but simply ran out of gas to steal the game. They managed to turn what should have been an easy and rest-filled victory for the Suns’ starters into yet another game that the old Suns never would have let happened. The Suns have underperformed their talent level for most of the season and while playing better, they are nothing more than an average team. Wizards head coach Flip Saunders has been good at bouncing his team back, both here and in his other stops as his teams are 93-65 ATS coming off a double-digit road loss. You can argue that past history is meaningless with a brand new team but that argument can also be made against the fact that Phoenix has owned this series with eight straight wins including seven covers. The Suns were favored in every one of those games but now they are the underdog which shows how the gap has closed. 3* (812) Washington Wizards -Matt Fargo

Pick: Los Angeles Lakers -1
Denver has been great on its home floor (19-4) where it has already defeated the Lakers once this season. But I expect that loss, combined with a loss to Dallas in their last game, to be all the motivation the defending champs need to take care of business this evening. The numbers suggest this is a great time to back L.A. In fact, plays on all teams when the line is +3 to -3 off an upset loss, if they are a good team winning 60 to 75% of their games and playing a team with a winning record, are an impressive 163-105 ATS since 1996. This system tightens up to 64-36 ATS the last 5 seasons. Denver is coming off a SU and ATS win over Oklahoma City. This is precisely the time to go against the Nuggets. That’s because they are a pathetic 9-26-6 ATS in their last 41 games following an ATS victory.Expect Kobe Bryant and company to avenge their earlier season loss to Denver tonight. Take L.A. -Jimmy Boyd (Handicapperspicks.com)
